Bones12
Hello you wonderful Basschatters! Was wondering if anyone has any opinions on Hagstrom bass guitars? In particular this beautiful Viking (the rebrand/remake whatever of the Concorde).... http://www.hagstromguitars.eu/index.php?op...5&Itemid=23 Got some serious GAS for this but didn't want to jump in if it doesn't sound great. henry norton
The review on BGM a couple of months ago was very good. It's difficult to find a double cutaway, semi solid, short scale bass anywhere this side of some nasty, cheap fleabay offerings or having to go for a used Starfire/Rivoli/EB-2. Fozza
Nice tobacco sunburst model at Thomann for just over £500 Click!
evilLordJuju
I really rate Hagstrom basses (this weeks favourite is my coronado bass). I have not tried the new ones, but I absolutely love my 1967 Hagstrom Concord - and although it doesn't have the same pickups it is otherwise very similar. I've also got some Hagstrom concord sound clips - not sure how relevant they are to you. I would like to know how the new ones sound compared to this - really like the white one. Great basses
henry norton
You can get them for under £450 if you shop around on the internet.

The Hagstroms look great - just a shame they're short-scale.

Hutton
This one might still be available:- http://basschat.co.uk/topic/175760-ftfs-hagstrom-viking-bass/page__p__1675230__hl__hagstrom__fromsearch__1#entry1675230
TomRichards
There were only about 25 or so Super Swede's ever made, so when they appear they disappear just as quickly. I had the opportunity to grab one a year ago but unfortunately I was exactly 31 minutes late in my contact with the seller. The new Hagstroms are very good basses, especially for the price. They use the Hagstrom rod design which does keep the necks in excellent straightness. They sound good. The body designs are definitely unique, or at least look way different then anything else on the market, so they are cool onstage as well.
