Thought I'd say hi to all that use this forum. I'm new to Bass, been playing a Fender Strat for a few years mainly blues and classic rock but have decided to give Bass a blast. So I went out and got a nice new Fender Jazz Bass (MIM) on Sunday and it looks/feels great sounded pretty cool in the guitar guitar Birmingham on there amp so it had to come home with me. Just need to source a good practice amp now, been looking at a few Trace Elliot Commando's on ebay any one got any oppinions on these amps or anyone suggest a good amp to start me off. I currently ahve a VOX Valvetronics for my Strat but not using it as I just know it will explode if i do.

This forum looks to be well used and has gerzillions of users, so hopefully will be able to get loads of good advice. Looking forward to posting stuff and getting to know the regular posters out there. Suppose will have to post a pic in the porn section at some point.

Well here's hoping for a good time.

Phil :)

Hi Phil,

Welcome and congrats on making the jump to bass, you won't regret it.
You're right about the healthy amount of active BassChatters and opinions - There is a lot of them!

Do look through the amps for sale section as you may just find a good deal on an amp to suit you. It's a buyers market at the moment.

See you around,
Jon
