Hi all.

My name is Daniel and I'm in mid 30'. To cut a long story short: started play when I was 18, few bands (mostly HC) and 3 yrs after that I quit play. ...a few women later ...and about 12 yrs later decided to come back to bass activity. Polish by nationality for 5 yrs in UK (Yorkshire, Berkshire and now Dorset). Currently ain't got decent rig (Washburn T14, Squier Jazz bass, Peavey practice combo) but is enough as a starter kit. Right now I'm in the middle of my custom handmade bass (see attachments). I'd love to enrich my knowledge and skills and be a part of this elite community as the bass players are.

Nice bit of wood you've got there....
It's a mahogany sapele and dark american walnut. Headstock has maple and wenge veneer on top. ..and you have nice avatar :)
That walnut is sweet, just calling for a high gloss finish :)
The finish won't like high high gloss as I just don't like it. All the wood will be stained deep red and gloss oil finish, black hardware (mosty Warwick), ebony fingerboard with no inlays on it, EMG MM TW pickup (just one twin coil pickup in the MM's "sweet spot" position). That's a prety like a delighted setup ..but I have to think it thru ...moneywise :)
