The one you have obviously does the job well for you, if you're looking for another. How is it fitted to the end of the board? Is it the humbucking version? How it should is via a screw that goes into the end of the board and I'd recommend some glue also if you're doing it that way. How it is... duct tape, and lots of it. It's a great PUP C
fatback
Thanks for that info. I've read lots of complaints about the Schallers rattling and coming unstuck. I'd prefer that not to happen mid gig. Good to hear you like the sound of the Armstrong. I think i'm gonna go for one.

TPJ
There looks to be one of these forsale on TB. He'll ship overseas as well http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f145/fs-kent...-pickup-749140/
slobluesine
Aaron Armstrong makes these in the UK for around £70 http://www.wdmusic.co.uk/category/Electron..._Pickups,b.html they glue to the end of the fingerboard and theres a small hole through it so you can screw a self tapper if you prefer. GREAT pickup for Double Bass, its a single coil and the ones Aaron supplies come with a Phono connector fixed onto the back where the wiring is if you oder one make sure you get Aaron to wire it otherwise it comes unwired and it's a frig
Mr Bassman
I've used one on the Yammy, double sided tape works for me.
slobluesine
you have to install them very close to the strings for best results and no hum, like a BG, not so good for slappers Edited March 10, 2011 by slobluesine
fatback
Thanks for the tips. I'm going to order the humbucking version. Sorry for the hijack
slobluesine
didn't know he made a Humbucker for DB? he will make anything you ask for i think tho these are made to order, he usually asks for a template of the fingerboard end

Just ordered one. Really looking forward to trying it.

The term he used was 'humcancelling'. I presumed that was humbucker. Edited March 11, 2011 by fatback
