Sorry I can't help, Chris, but I'm thinking about getting one of these new and haven't found any comments anywhere.

The one you have obviously does the job well for you, if you're looking for another. How is it fitted to the end of the board? Is it the humbucking version?

I've no idea if it's a humbucker I'm afraid

How does it stick to the board? You want how it should or how it is! How it should is via a screw that goes into the end of the board and I'd recommend some glue also if you're doing it that way. How it is... duct tape, and lots of it.

It's a great PUP
I've read lots of complaints about the Schallers rattling and coming unstuck. I'd prefer that not to happen mid gig.
I had that issue, but it's an easy fix, nail varnish, or a tiny bit of blue tack, no more problems at all.

Aaron Armstrong makes these in the UK for around £70
http://www.wdmusic.co.uk/category/Electron..._Pickups,b.html

they glue to the end of the fingerboard and theres a small hole through it so you can screw a self tapper if you prefer.
GREAT pickup for Double Bass, its a single coil and the ones Aaron supplies come with a Phono connector fixed onto the back where the wiring is

if you oder one make sure you get Aaron to wire it otherwise it comes unwired and it's a frig :)
didn't know he made a Humbucker for DB? he will make anything you ask for i think tho

these are made to order, he usually asks for a template of the fingerboard end
He suggested the 'humcancelling' version himself. Just ordered one. Really looking forward to trying it. :)

Sure, I'll get a pic.

The term he used was 'humcancelling'. I presumed that was humbucker.
