    That's fantastic, simple design, I must put one on order, as most of my gigs are doublers, so this would make change overs easy. I already designed and built my own electric bass stands which slot into either side my amp flight cases (handy when swapping between fretted and fretless bass). Petes stand looks like a great idea, does anyone know if it comes with a case/ bag? Cheers Andrew

    79 Fretless Stingray: Price drop now £1200 shipped anywhere in Europe... Up for sale is my pre ernie ball fretless 1979 musicman bass. Previous owner had the bass stripped, must have been done professionally as the finish is immaculate... Hence the low price... no string mutes as they had worn away, but easily replaced if required. Sounds and plays fantastic, full of the Pino mwaahhh... Recently set up by Tony Thompson, comes with flight case... Any questions fire away... Collection preferred, looking for around £1200 incl flight case and shipping to anywhere in Europe.

    The Ampeg 212 cab seems expensive, I run my '72 V4 through two Ampeg 210AV cabs and the sound is incredible!

    I've gone down the road of the light weight gear, Phil Jones 4b cabs, Genz Benz shuttles etc while they're practical and easy to move around nothing comes close to a tube head in terms of sound and headroom... Shame my back doesn't share this love of tubes with me anymore...

    What did you run with in the end? I keep my V4 in a live in flightcase and so far ( fingers crossed) never have had any mishaps! I'd say if you're only moving it by car then the roqsolid case would be fine, but if it's with a gigging band with a van, then a flightcase is the way to go...

    Just bought my second pre ernie ball bass off Gareth... Top bloke to deal with, cannot fault him in anyway, great communicator and extremely understanding and patient! Again the bass is an absolute pleasure to play.... Thanks again Gareth! Cheers Andrew
