The PSM300 I believe shares the same transmission and audio quality tech as the PSM900 however, the thing that I think stops it from being a full on touring grade unit is the nobbled RF selection. :-/ you will run into lots of intermodulation problems if you are planning on running lots of wireless, especially if you aren't planning on running just Shure. If you aren't planning on running any wireless guitars or Mics and just PSM300s you are likely to be ok with just the preselected channels. What part of the spectrum does your unit run on? Channel 38 or 70?

Hi - I am looking for good suppliers of 3u flight cases. Hit me up with quality makes - I am used to RoadReady - which are getting increasingly difficult to get hold of... and Amptown - who seemed to have pulled out of the UK market. PS not interested in ABS models....

In fact, I got one of these PSUs running three sennheiser units in a rack (daisy chained the power). I've used this seller - bang on - and the PSUs are stupidly light. I think icastle was talking about making up a lead with a socket on the end to plug your adapter into with a lead them coming from the socket that would then go into your power conditioner. Equally, it'd work but it is a bit cumbersome and a big more weighty.

Colour me interested...

Been looking at this sub again... Whats the advantage of the sub? Why not just buy another top (after all, they go as low) - am I right in thinking that you have crippled the response of the speaker via DSP so all the power goes to getting the low frequencies - and also removed the tweeter? Buying another top seems to make more sense. Gives you greater redundancy on a gig also - or does the sub develop more bass that the tops?

If you are talking about the Shure PSM200 I can understand why... The 300 and 900 do the "more me" mix thing to... as do the Sennheiser. Of course, if you have two receivers and pan each one to the extreme, you can use one transmitter for two mono mixers for two people.

Nothing beats the power on demand of a bit lump of iron.

They are good cabs for the money - and I would rather gig them than the Neo equivalents... They don't fart and splurge! Much more old school sounding than the Proline and Neoline equivalents... but a solid budget cab. Those Trace cabs are heavy - remember my 4x10 - 41kg. That was some lift back in the day!

Quick question as there's no pic of the subwoofer - is it front loaded? Or is a horn design? The only small drivered yet super efficient subs that I've experienced is the Danley tapped horn stuff - but they are far from super light!

I'm especially interested in the 12 inch subs as they are super portable and the specs looks quite encouraging. I'm a believer in big subs (15s as a min and 18s being the sweet spot before heading up to 21s). The thing is, there's subs and subs... one persons idea of crushing bass may not be the same as mine. But despite all this, I am very interested in hearing this setup - an efficient lightweight sub are far from common! [/quote] If you are loud onstage, you may find it difficult - you probably won't be able to hear over the drums and guitars. It's hard to tell without knowing more about the gear you are going to be using and the onstage volume.

Depends how good your FOH speakers are. With subs and decent tops (even just tops if they are really good), you are away... presuming you have some monitoring available for you (if you care about such things!) I've gigged for the last 3 years without a bass amp... I actually think it works better without an amp... and you become every sound mans best friend.
