  1. You see, I can get with Magma, although they could work on their lyrics. 25:37 of the second, we are back into shred videos. I'm just imagining listening to this in my car with my window down and pulling up next to somebody at the lights...
  2. The Smiths?
  3. What's your take on this? Do you enjoy the first video more... or this one?
  4. I can't imagine it'll be appearing on any Now album anytime soon either? "now that's what I call animal sounds dressed up as free form jazz"
  5. It was deliberately emotive to stir up some passion. Go on - Tell me why I should give this stuff a listen and try to understand it. If I just wrote, I don't get it, that's boring and the thread will have no passion. If I write "I judge you", we get the creative juices flowing and the discussion is immediately more emotive and interesting. If the video stirs up emotion for some, why can't I do the same with my choice of words? Art can stir up all sorts of feelings deep inside, whether it's words or music or whatever is contained in that video in the OP.
  6. Maybe you should ease yourself in gently with some Phil Minton!
  7. Ah. Somebody who doesn't understand the level on which I'm operating. Nice direct personal insult too. I'll be sure to cry myself to sleep tonight.
  8. It's clearly operating at a much higher level than you then! 🤗
  9. Um... you may have noticed that I started the thread and tone was set out from the start.... However, this thread may be more to your liking -
  10. Never seen so much brilliance in one room... ever. PS this thread is in the interests of restoring balance. And for the Jeckyll and Hydes amongst us.
  11. Is this one called Saturday morning instrument window shopping at the music shop?
  12. Next year then. Lets make it a hot date. x
  13. Looks like the seller on the bay is a pawnbrokers. Hopefully they have all the necessaries to trace it back to the individual to dealt with appropriately. Looking forward to hearing the update from Scott.
  14. https://canjamglobal.com/shows/london-2018/ For those local and wanting to try some real top end hifi stuff, the London Canjam is on. Can't go this year... but for those wanting to try some ridiculous stuff in their ears, this is the place to be! Lots of lovely boutique shizzle for you to get hands on with.
  15. https://www.houseoftonepickups.com/
  16. I can't imagine why your attention drifted away from the performance and onto inanimate objects around the performance area....?
  17. Bloody love Brotzmann.
  18. Salt AND vinegar... oh and ketchup. Ta.
  19. Just booked hotel for UK Drum Show... so for any masquerading drummers/bass players wanting to come and talk/try IEMs... head across and chat IEMs until the cows come home with me. Will be on the Custom IEM co stand.
  20. Hi Jeff. Good to see you here. People. Be nice.
  21. Cool stuff. ESP better option then I take it?
  22. Glitch in the matrix.
  23. Silica gel is a good way of ensuring your IEMs keep relatively dry. For normal use, silica gel does the job well. Just remember to recharge the silica gel every now and again in the microwave or stick the pouch on the radiator. I also have an ACS Revivo that I put my IEMs every now and again or after a particularly sweaty gig. https://www.acscustom.com/uk/products/accessories looks to be the same sort of deal as the Minerva thing - just a bit cheaper. More information? - they do the job I guess. I can't say they come out looking like completely different IEMs... but if they potentially zap any nasties that may be breeding in your inears, then it's got to be worth putting your inears for a cleaning cycle now and again... right? I don't really suffer with sweat... but even some damp IEMs will come out bone dry after the cleaning cycle has finished. All you do is take the cables off, stick the inears in and close the lid, press the button and wait for the cycle to finish. Obviously make sure any wax and the like is cleaned off before putting them in for the UV clean. Umm... other things? Yeah, you have to put a silica gel capsule in there... and thats about it. Fan and UV light in a box essentially - all running off a battery that is rechargeable using a USB charger. Pretty low tech on the whole - but it seems well built.
  24. Interested to see that Fender are branching out into customs in 2019 (3:20 - although I'm sure when you are asking people to drop some serious cash at premium prices, it's not a great marketing move to refer to them as "the crowd")... given the pricing of their universals, I suspect they will be aiming to have their name at the top alongside the likes of Westone, UE, 64, JH, Noble, Advanced Acousticwerks, Spiral, Empire, Jomo et al... Not sure how I feel with something with Fender on them in my ears - especially at the price they are. Not exactly their specialism is it?
  25. Hey Jim, we can be dumbasses together. I'm with you, its pretentious twaddle with possibly the elitist underlying message of "operating at a level that mere mortals cannot fathom". If they are getting people to listen to their stuff, then congrats to them. I certainly wouldn't be changing any plans to go and see them.
