1. i know they are obviously not shure - but have you tried the bose triport IE. Bloody great headphones for IEM. great bass response, and good isolation. They can be found on amazon for less than £40 too!
2. Dude, just watch a load of dvd's. Maiden, Metallica, and any other band really. it doesn't matter if you like their music or not, just watch and learn. It's a starting point after all. the best thing is to just let the music take you and be yourself in reaction to it!
3. I've seen people using sweatbands. put the opack on the strap and hold it in place with aforementioned sweatband!
4. i use an EH Metal muff w/ top boost - great sound, full eq so no bass loss. MXR DI+ distortion - chunky and ballsy! Boss HM2 - Great fuzz sound and tons of low end boost with the eq. MXR distortion III - mid gain grindy type sound. no bass loss. Tone factor Fuzz saw - huge ballsy fuzz, no bass loss MXR Blowtorch - Full eq + blend. great sounds all the way from light grit to full on muse- esque fuzz Hartke VXL valve dynamic switch! - great chunky sound, again from light grit to full on distortion My requirements are no loss on the bottom and must work well with my weeping demon to give solid scream type effects! I've tried many more than this, but was left feeling wanting! Previous tries - Marshall Guv'nor (bass loss), Most Boss OD/ Dist (just not 'right'), nano muff, pocket metal muff, micro metal muff, PD7 (great pedal, just not right for what i wanted from it) to name but a few!
5. You, sir, are both a scholar and a gentleman!

Musicians friend have said they won't ship over here - Bugger! Cheers
7. just want to +1 strings and things - also importer of MXR. they sent me a battery cover FOC when mine broke. Top chaps!
8. It may be a tired idea, but i would love to see steve harris do something along these lines!
9. the LBM has a better low end than most of the other muffs. another option if you want a muff sound is to try the Metal muff (with top boost - rather than any of the smaller ones!) as it has an eq section on it. from other forums, i see that the english muffn is a opopular choice among bass players as it uses valves for the distortion. for another option, contact our very own Dave Hall (DHA) who makes his own popular line of valve-based effects.
10. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...ME:B:SS:GB:1123 I think this says it all!!
