1. I bought a sheet of similar grippy stuff at Halfords for £3.99. Stops your 'phone sliding across your dashboard if you take a corner enthusiastically. It also stopped my new Reidmar from vibrating off the top of my cabs tonight and we were giving it some hammer too! Night all!
2. I should also add that the power socket has been changed for a standard Boss sized one. Still needs 18v up it but a little more convenient!
3. For sale Trace Elliot SM7EQ pedal. Good condition all working perfectly, the eq sliders are a bit on the stiff side but work fine. In original box.
4. A gentle nudge to the top to reflect the modifications to my original post!
5. and dutifully replied to!
6. Open to offers of trades, parts, pickups, fx, basses even but not cabs.
7. A little bump for a Monday morning.
8. A yawn, a stretch, a scratch and a little bump!
9. For sale my Ashdown ABM 210 Evo 2 combo. In very good condition with (slightly wonky) pull out castors and Roqsolid cover. The cover's a bit scruffy but that's what it's there for eh? The amp is in very good nick, I've owned it for about 4 years and it's been a faultless and reliable performer. A few slight scuffs to the vinyl here and there but she fires up nice and clean and can take windows out at 10 paces. One slightly confusing thing, the power amp board seems to have 3 pairs of output transistors as opposed to 2 (à la 300 watts amp) implying that it's a 500 watt job. Maybe the previous owner had a new board fitted? I don't know. It's certainly a beast but too heavy for me now! I've reverted to my old Trace head and a couple of lightweight cabs now to avoid slipping a disc so in the interests of domestic harmony, will someone take it off my hands? I'm based in Loughborough in Leicestershire so collection is fine or a meet on the M1 at Leicester Forest or Donnington Park services. Any further afield could be arranged with a small consideration for diesel. I don't know how long it's been going on because I've never used it! Feel free to offer accordingly. I will get it looked at in the meantime if it's a deal breaker.
10. Did a trade with Kev a few weeks back. Everything happened painlessly and smoothly. Heartilly recommended! Andrew PS beautiful MM Sterling too!
11. No worries here at all, I was kept informed every step of the way. Item as described!! Deal with confidence!!
12. But I play with my bass directly in front of my "ahem" cucumber. Should I buy a transparent bass or adopt a Mark King playing stance?
13. My turn, just traded this with a fellow BCer. Meet Bruce!
14. Further to my post, gigged with it on on Saturday night. Love it to bits. It's a beautiful piece of engineering and (dare I say it?) an improvent on the Badass 11. Everything feels more solid and sounds so much clearer. Also no nasty little grub screws sticking into your hand like nearly every other bridge I've tried!
15. I've just put one on my MIM 70's Jazz. The notes do seem to ring a bit more than before, very easy to fit too. It looks a beautiful piece of engineering. I will report back when I've played it in anger for a week or two. It'll get a bashing at Saturday night's gig!
16. I use a Trace dual compressor and love it. Does the job pretty well and well built. I had an Ashdown one for a while but couldn't get on with it.
17.
Lovely old TE Dual Compressor I no longer use. It's only ever seen studio usage but due to using software compressors these days it has been sitting on the shelf with no bass going through it for a good few years now. As compressors go it's fairly smooth and gentle so you won't get any pumping or sucking out of it. The tone control which sets the balance between the bands is excellent; if you dial it back to favour the low band this guy will give a lovely smooth and fat sound. Comes boxed with manual and some TE stickers. Yours for £70.
I'll take it off your hands, been after one of these for ages, wish I'd never got rid of my old one! Regards Andrew
