I was fed up of getting buzz and hum from the bridge pick up. Everything was earthed and all cavities screened with copper foil and graphite paint. However some venues must have had a rogue beer cooler in the cellar or something because I couldn't get rid of interference. the neck pick up was quiet as a mouse, frustratingly! The EMG pickups are, as always, free from any nasties and sound (to my ears) the business. I could post, probably UPS as I've had no bother with them, not sure how much that would be but I can make enquiries. Cheers Andrew

Price dropped to £750 and no lower! Another bass that has sat in the cupboard for far too long unplayed. At a gig last night, I realised that the two basses I had with me were all I'd used in anger for ages and all I would ever need. (Until the dreaded GAS rears it's ugly head again) Any road up, here is my 2010 Fender American Deluxe Precision Bass in Crimson transparent. I got fed up of the N3 pickups and fitted EMG PJ pickups and a BTS four knob control system. The Scratchplate has been replaced with a mint green one but I can chuck in the original black one (a bit battered) if you like. The bass is fitted with the appropriate Hipshot DTuner and is in overall excellent condition. the only damage is a small gouge on the end of the headstock, a few plectrum scratches on the body on the upper boutand a little scuffing below the controls on the lower edge. The case has most of the bits in it and is in very good condition. It's a beauty but it never gets played and I'm fast running out of space under the stairs. I am based in Leics but get around the country a lot with work so a meet could be possible. Let the pictures tell you more! Not really interested in trades. Try me if it's a guitar (not modern or even remotely pointy)

I had an epiphanal moment whilst playing last night in a pub, this bass has sat in my cupboard unmolested for far too long so it's up for grabs. A 2014 American Deluxe Fender Jazz bass in three tone sunburst. The electronics and pickups have been replaced with EMG JV pickups and a four knob EMG BTS control system. The bass is fitted with a Hipshot D Tuner and Jim Dunlop strap locks. A brown leather Fender strap is included.A few battle scars from it's previous owner. The scratch plate has a few scratches from aggressive plectra and there are a couple of tiny dings on the rear of the upper bout, about where your right armpit would be if you were Mark King. The case has a little damage to one corner (the corner where the accessory pocket is) which is patched up with gaffer tape. Let the pictures do the talking. I'm based in the East Midlands but do travel around a fair bit with my work so meet up could be possible. Not really interested in trades but if it's a guitar (not modern or even remotely pointy) give me a try. PS Rabbit not included

The noisy bits from my 2014 American Deluxe Jazz bass. A very versatile arrangement but I like my EMGs so out it has come. Volume, pick up selection, stacked bass and treble and stacked mid and passive tone. A switch bypasses the active bits in case of power failure. I'm sure you know the score. All there apart from pickup mounting screws and the foam springs. Any wiring I had to cut to remove the assembly has been clearly labelled so no confusion there. £130 inc postage, can't say fairer than that. A pair of pickups on my doorstep within 24 hours. Can't say fairer than that! Highly recommended.

Looking for £100 ONO including P&P These came out of my 2010 Fender Custom Shop Classic Jazz bass. I took them out to try a set of EMG JV with a BTS circuit and never looked back. These sounded great but I prefer the sound of the EMG set and I never used the mid range control anyway! So we have two Fender Noiseless Jazz pickups, in very clean condition with minimal wear to the covers. The active circuit has master volume, pickup pan, stacked bass and treble and mid controls. The circuit runs on two 9v batteries for increased headroom. I had to cut some of the wiring to remove the circuitry and bridge pickup but all the cut cables are clearly labelled so if you know one end of a soldering iron from another, installation should be a doddle. WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED: Pickup mounting screws and knobs. It is also worth noting that the Custom Shop Classic body is routed with the continuous rout from neck pickup to control cavity so the main circuit board attached to the master volume may not fit into a body with a separate control cavity. It is with a heavy heart (and light kidneys) that I tentatively offer this for sale. My beloved Fender Concert combo. Part of the II line-up of amplifiers offered by Fender between 1982 and 1986. The last mass produced point to point wired amplifier offered by Fender before they went with PCB construction. All valve circuitry with solid state rectification. A nice long spring reverb tank (valve driven and recovered) a valve buffered variable level effects loop and two switchable channels. The clean channel (with pull bright switch on the volume) is pure Fender clean. The overdrive channel has a two stage gain circuit with two gain controls and a master volume. The three band interactive eq has a pull mid boost on the mid control which really beefs up a single coil. A reverb control ) active on both channels and a presence control completes the line up. A very versatile amp indeed, most of the time I played through the clean channel which would start to break up nicely as you turned the volume up towards 7 or 8, but would clean up nicely by backing off the volume on your instrument. The overdrive channel would manage a very nice crunchy rhythm sound up to a pretty fierce overdrive although not into metal territory. It takes a pedal nicely too. The amp has tilt back legs fitted (not an original fitting for the amp as far as I'm aware but useful for hearing yourself play above a noisy drummer) and comes with a fitted Roqsolid cover. I gigged this amp regularly in the mid 1990's up in Stockport but since the band petered out (apart from a couple of one-off gigs) it has sat in my wardrobe. It breaks my heart to let it go but I play bass these days and can't really justify this beast sitting around doing nowt. I fired it up today and gave all the pots and switches a good clean and it sounds like a new 'un. The only obvious damage is to the treble knob on the overdrive channel. Obviously this thing is very heavy so collection in person or a meet up for a few quids worth of diesel is the only realistic option. I wouldn't trust this to any courier. I'm based in Leicestershire and travel around a fair bit.

I bought a bass recently of a heavy smoker. Several rub downs with lemon oil shifted the pong from the bodywork.

My rig from the other night. 1X15" underneath and a pint of mild to top it off.
