1. Looking for £100 ONO including P&P These came out of my 2010 Fender Custom Shop Classic Jazz bass. I took them out to try a set of EMG JV with a BTS circuit and never looked back. These sounded great but I prefer the sound of the EMG set and I never used the mid range control anyway! So we have two Fender Noiseless Jazz pickups, in very clean condition with minimal wear to the covers. The active circuit has master volume, pickup pan, stacked bass and treble and mid controls. The circuit runs on two 9v batteries for increased headroom. I had to cut some of the wiring to remove the circuitry and bridge pickup but all the cut cables are clearly labelled so if you know one end of a soldering iron from another, installation should be a doddle. WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED: Pickup mounting screws and knobs. It is also worth noting that the Custom Shop Classic body is routed with the continuous rout from neck pickup to control cavity so the main circuit board attached to the master volume may not fit into a body with a separate control cavity. 2. It is with a heavy heart (and light kidneys) that I tentatively offer this for sale. My beloved Fender Concert combo. Part of the II line-up of amplifiers offered by Fender between 1982 and 1986. The last mass produced point to point wired amplifier offered by Fender before they went with PCB construction. All valve circuitry with solid state rectification. A nice long spring reverb tank (valve driven and recovered) a valve buffered variable level effects loop and two switchable channels. The clean channel (with pull bright switch on the volume) is pure Fender clean. The overdrive channel has a two stage gain circuit with two gain controls and a master volume. The three band interactive eq has a pull mid boost on the mid control which really beefs up a single coil. A reverb control ) active on both channels and a presence control completes the line up. A very versatile amp indeed, most of the time I played through the clean channel which would start to break up nicely as you turned the volume up towards 7 or 8, but would clean up nicely by backing off the volume on your instrument. The overdrive channel would manage a very nice crunchy rhythm sound up to a pretty fierce overdrive although not into metal territory. It takes a pedal nicely too. The amp has tilt back legs fitted (not an original fitting for the amp as far as I'm aware but useful for hearing yourself play above a noisy drummer) and comes with a fitted Roqsolid cover. I gigged this amp regularly in the mid 1990's up in Stockport but since the band petered out (apart from a couple of one-off gigs) it has sat in my wardrobe. It breaks my heart to let it go but I play bass these days and can't really justify this beast sitting around doing nowt. I fired it up today and gave all the pots and switches a good clean and it sounds like a new 'un. The only obvious damage is to the treble knob on the overdrive channel. Obviously this thing is very heavy so collection in person or a meet up for a few quids worth of diesel is the only realistic option. I wouldn't trust this to any courier. I'm based in Leicestershire and travel around a fair bit.
3. I bought a bass recently of a heavy smoker. Several rub downs with lemon oil shifted the pong from the bodywork.
4. My rig from the other night. 1X15" underneath and a pint of mild to top it off.
5. I had dreams of becoming a wizard on the slide guitar so I sneaked this one in the back door. A combination of lack of time and talent and needing to thin out a bit, means that this one is up for grabs. It's the 2015 model in tobacco sunburst with the G Force automatic tuning system, adjustable brass zero fret/nut assembly and dog ear P90 pickup with Alnico magnets. Gibson take up the story here: http://www.gibson.co...aul-Junior.aspx It's been out of the house once, when I took it to a rehearsal to let our guitarist have a go. He was very impressed, the P90 has a very high output and broke up beautifully through his Line 6 Bogner amp. It has a slightly wider neck than previous models, which you notice at first but it soon feels very comfortable. All the case rammel is in there including the charger for the tuning system and a nice snap of the guitar on the test bench at Gibson HQ. The only marks I can see are some scratches on the plastic film on the pick guard. Comes in original Gibson gold case and I still have the original shipping box, so if shipping is necessary it should arrive unmolested! I'm in Leicestershire but travel about a bit so a meet up may be possible. 6. A very succesful and smooth bass trade with Waveydavey. No worries here!
7. I bought this earlier this year from a fellow Basschatter. Love it to bits but it's not me, if that makes any sense. A Musicman Classic Sabre in Transparent White with an outrageously figured maple neck. Two hum buckers, five way switching and two band eq. Mutes on the bridge. The bass was in immaculate condition when I bought it and though it's had a few gigs and rehearsals since then, I can't find a single blemish on it apart from fingerprints! I've fitted a Hipshot D Tuner (with the correct short peg) and the original machine head included. All the gubbins is still in the case, wipes unused and still sealed. Weight, according to my scales is 4.3kg. Trade wise, the only thing I'd really be interested in would be Fender Jazz, pref USA Deluxe (2010 on) with sunburst finish or at push anything else Fender and lovely. Photos below so you can indulge in all that creamy goodness. 8. Here's the body and electonics from one of my Strats. First of all, a Fender American Standard body in Sea Foam Green. I can't make out the date in the neck pocket but I bought it second hand around ten years ago. There are a few scratches and dings to the body, the photos show the worst ones and the colour has darkened slightly with age. The body has the "swimming pool rout" which may help in dating it. A (if I remember corrrectly) genuine Fender scratch plate in mint green. A set of DiMarzio pickups. HS2 (slightly beefier sound and output) in the bridge. HS1 in the neck and middle. All noise cancelling. A genuine Fender Clapton mid boost circuit giving volume, mid boost and a TBX tone knob. All body cavities have been shielded with copper foil and graphite paint. I could never pick up interference with this guitar. Neck plate and screws. And last but not least the signature of Robin Trower (out of Procul Harum) on the back. Just to clarify: the bridge pictured in picture 3 is not included and has been already sold. I adopted a slightly different control layout to Clapton. It's volume then mid boost then at the bottom the TBX. I had a Cornell circuit in another Strat with this layout so to avoid mid gig confusion I adopted the same layout. There's more than enough wire to allow the pots to be switched around. <script src="safari-extension://com.ebay.safari.myebaymanager-QYHMMGCMJR/1cc16011/background/helpers/prefilterHelper.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
9. I bought this neck off Ebay around eight years ago. It's a genuine Fender replacement neck with the laser etched logo on the reverse of the headstock. As such it had only the Fender decal on the front. I added the rest (Stratocaster, patents, contour body etc) The nut and frets are in exceptional condition, I didn't really play it much, as I now mainly play bass. The neck has a lovely aged nitro cellulose finish. there are two cracks in the laqueur on the back of the neck behind the 7th,8th and 9th frets. These are superficial and definitely not structural. The cracks were there when I bought the neck and the guitar has behaved impeccably all through the time I've owned it. The cracks haven't got any worse. The neck is dated Jan 19 2005. The fingerboard is the correct 7.25" radius. A proper old fashioned C shape. Depth at the nut end: 21mm (excluding fret) and at the heel end: 23.6mm agin, excluding fret. The frets are vintage but not the puniest I have ever played, I make them 2.6mm wide and 1.3mm high. very little fret wear. Under the Sperzels the mounting holes for the original Kluson style machine heads are still there. The headstock holes have been reamed out to 10mm to accomodate the moder tuners. It is very easy to source bushes that will adapt the holes back to vintage spec (¼"?) This could be a bit tricky to post safely so a meet up could be the best solution (I'm in Leicestershire) <script src="safari-extension://com.ebay.safari.myebaymanager-QYHMMGCMJR/1cc16011/background/helpers/prefilterHelper.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
10. Found some EMG knobs that I can chuck in too. £50 for all that active goodness delivered to your door! Can't be bad eh?
11. The way they go limp doesn't help either.
12. This has sat on my pedal board for over a year and I might have used it once (possibly by accident) so it's up for grabs. It's the black label true bypass version in the original box with instructions. Velcro on the bottom as pictured. A snip at £55 posted to your door!
