  1. At the risk of being cheeky, may I suggest EMG pickups? Coincidentally I have a pair for sale on this very forum.
  2. Bank holiday weekend special offer. Grab it while it's still here.
  3. Found the original E tuner if you want to knock it back to original spec.
  4. Sitting in one of my Musicman basses until today: Two EMG MMCS musicman sized hum buckers. Both come with volume/tone/output wiring loom. A little playing wear on the surface but that's it. I'll take £60 each for the pickups. Take the pair for £100.
  5. Don't know if I've seen the light but one '93 Sterling has been joined by a 2010 Stingray 4 and a 2011 Stingray 5. Maybe I need help?
  6. Price dropped to £850. All sensible offers given due consideration.
  7. Price nudged down to £750!. My Fender American Deluxe (Elite?) Dimension IV HH in violin sunburst. In two minds as to whether this one is going but I've clocked something else so someone's in for a treat. I've had this since last year and it's only made it to one gig and a few rehearsals, which is about all I've managed myself. It's a beautiful instrument, the neck has an asymmetrical profile which is very comfortable. Two hum bucking pickups attached to a five way switch which gives outer or inner coils together in positions 2 and 4. Three band eq, all working beautifully. A few extras: I've fitted a Hipshot D tuner on the E (where else) and fitted Dunlop strap locks. I also bought a WD Music tortoiseshell scratchplate for it. The original black one is included along with the Fender strap that came with it. The bass is in immaculate condition, having had a very easy life so far. Comes in the big fat Fender ABS case which is very tough. Any sensible offer considered! I would consider posting this as the case is a good one but would prefer a meet up or collection.
  8. So I only bought this one a few weeks ago and then someone offered me a Stingray 5 in a trade and it was an offer I couldn't refuse! It's a lovely bass, in immaculate condition, can't find a mark on it. It's 35" scale so the low notes are very well defined and to be honest feels very similar to a 34" bass. I didn't notice any difference. Lovely quilted maple top. 5 piece laminated bolt on neck. Six bolt joint. Solid as a rock! Two Alnico hum bucking pickups, master volume, pan and three band eq. Good solid bridge and the tuners are very smooth! I will chick in a very nice Roksak gig bag, strap and Dunlop straplocks. Not keen on posting this as there is no hard case so collection or meet up preferred.
  9. Well it would be lovely to meet up again! I recently put flats on my Jazz and was blown away!
  10. One in one out, that's the official policy in our house. For once, I've confessed and this one has to go! A 2015 Fender American Deluxe Dimension V HH in (i think) Violin Sunburst. Comes in a G&G black Tolex case with all case candy. Immaculate condition with only the most minor surface marks. All original electronics, five way pick up selector and three band eq. Lovely asymmetrical neck with silky oil finish. 4.6 Kg according to my bathroom scales. Not keen on posting so I would prefer collection or meet up. My job takes me around the country a lot.
  11. Mooer bass fog fuzz pedal. It's been rattling around in my case for a year or two since I bought an MXR fuzz. In full working order with a few chips to the bodywork. £25 + postage
  12. Now sold. EBS Bassiq triple envelope filter. Full working order, just a few scuffs to the bodywork. No original box but I can pack securely for postage. £75 + postage
  13. The unloved child of the Fender corporation? I'm rather taken with mine. Both US Deluxe HH, one has an extra string.
  14. A silky smooth transaction! Punctual and very pleasant to deal with. Enjoy the bass!!
  15. My twopennorth. RAH300-12 with 2103H and 1053 cabs. It's not lightweight but swapping the original speakers for neodymium ones has made them still practical to lug around. Elf on top just in case anything goes pop. The front panel illumination in full working order.
  16. I've wanted to try a five for ages, an itch I just couldn't scratch. Bought this a month or so back and I've realised that all I'm gaining is a long thumb rest. The sort of music I play is quite easily played on four strings and the confusion upon switching between four and five is hurting my 55 year old brain. So it's a Fender USA Deluxe Dimension HH five string in natural ash with a rather lovely oiled maple neck. I am very taken with the asymmetrical shape of the neck and found it very comfortable to play after forty years on a four string. The sounds out of it are pretty impressive too, five way switching giving either or both plus both inner or outer coils of the twin humbuckers. Three band 18v active circuit. 4.4 Kg according to my bathroom scales. Condition wise it's got a few battle scars on the edges of the body (not my doing!) but the neck is pristine. I fitted a new set of D'Addarios when I bought it, you're welcome to the old set of (quite dead, but some folk like that) strings if I haven't chucked them out. Comes in a slightly scruffy but fully functional G & G/Fender hard case. I'm just looking for a sale but would be open to swapping for a four string Dimension (HH, USA Deluxe, please) or may be vaguely tempted by Fender Jazz or Musicman four strings. I'm in Loughborough but get up and down the country a fair bit so a meet could be arranged.
  17. I've had this for years but never really played it. Bought in 2013 and kept in a generic hard case (included with sale) there is barely a mark on it. Fitted with a set of La Bella stainless steel strings and a Buzzstop. Fender vintage style strap included. I'm based in Loughborough in the East Mids but I get about a bit and I will courier at cost if necessary.
  18. That's a beauty! Recently bought a USA Deluxe HH V. A cracker but not sure if the extra string is anything other than a very expensive thumb rest. Love the build and the sound though.
