1. yeah, same here. plus when you remove it you have nasty holes in your new scratchplate... they don't mount the pickup covers on these, so why bother mounting these? hey ho...
2. and for 99% of bassists, totally pointless and gets in the way!
3. £1,705 though!!! almost as much as custom shop, and £600 more than an american std...
4. oooooh!! http://www.fender.com/en-GB/basses/?&series=American%20Vintage&brand=Fender very much like the sonic blue '63 P!!! pickups aren't 'custom shop' like the american standard though...
5.
Looks good , especially the size . Here's some others to think about http://www.thegigrig.com/acatalog/SWS_Loopy-2.html http://www.brightonion.co.uk/products/Mini-Looper.html
These 2 are different pedals entirely. Though confusingly all 3 pedals are termed 'loopers' these 2 are just bypass loopers, like an Ls-2...
6. what IS hoopla anyway?!?
7. ...how long before we see the ditto x4 - with all the hoopla guitarists want. hoopla by guitarists, FOR guitarists!
8. wow, i've been waiting for a looper like this for ages - always surprised me nobody has done anything like this before. Hope this is as good as it sounds!
9.
Might have to pick one of these up! Disappointed there's no tone control though
agreed - i'm interested in this, but the thing I love about my BB preamp is the 2 band EQ (same reason I like the SFT)... I still don't see the point in this obsession with blend controls with dirt pedals, there is certainly no need for one on the BB or the SFT... and I don't miss one on my grey stache.
10. on hold pending trade for rat tail...
11. Up for sale is a brand new W&C Tall Font Russian. I bought this to try against my fuzzrocious grey stache, and the stache won! The TFR is a great fuzz, but I can't justify having two muffs, and really want to try a rat tail It's a low to mid gain muff, really nice sounding and excellent build quality. W&C stuff is great. £115 inc. UK postage. I'll get some photo's up later tonight, but velcro-aside (easily removed), this is in mint condition.
12. ...but then someone else will buy it before I have the cash!
13. wow - such a great bass. If this is still up for sale in 4-6 weeks I am going to be very veeeery tempted
14. sold!
15. it is a tube-screamer based design... i sold my old bassdrive and got an xotic bass BB preamp
16. saturday bump!
17. this is my current setup - it looks crazy simple compared to most of the boards on here, but is all I need at the minute! wren and cuff phat phuk b into fuzzrocious grey stache, into tuner... photo taken before we played ATP at the weekend
18. bump
19. I'm not a massive fan of filters but +1 to the octave pedal before
20. phaser (before) and analog delay after
21. To the top!!!
22. bump!
23. it's a really difficult question to answer - there are no must have effects as far as I'm concerned, it's just personal preference. If you've got a POD already, am I right in thinking that has a selection of FX? If so, that should give you an idea on the sort of pedals you may be interested in... Personally, I have never felt the need for a compressor or a preamp, but others swear by them, so it's really horses for courses here. Sorry, that's not really a recommendation is it!
24. buuuuuuuuump
25. bump for BB preamp added!
