Haha good call. I'm in Whittlebury so it's good to hear there are other basschat members in the shire.
Two in adjoining villages is pretty good going. I wonder if there are any in the same street…
see you in the Fox and Hounds or The White Horse……

Turns out @Muppetis in my neighbouring village. Small world as it says he lives in the pub which is where my band played just a few weeks back.
I wish! I just chose the middle of the village 😁

Might be a silly question..anyone know the lead required to run this ..the standard switch is a std guitar lead but doesn’t work on the super intelligent ….doesn’t seem to specify anywhere which one I need ..I have the v2 alpha/omega amp .
cheers all
I don't think there is a v2 of the AO amp is there, just the Microtubes 900v2....?
Which super intelligent footswithc do you have - the silver one (which is designed for the microtubes) or the blue one (which is designed for the AO). If it's the silver one, I'm pretty sure you'll need to reprogram it to use it with the AO amp.
The super intelligent footswitch is programmable through thr Darkglass suite app on pc. I would connect your amp to the Darkglass suite and check the programming of the footswitch in there. If you can, reset it back to the defaults and try again.

Regular mono 3/4" jack lead worked for me when I had one.

If you don't have a DMX controller then the other option is a basic four button foot controller that plugs in to the 5 pin DIN socket on the back. Then you can cycle through the pre-installed programmes, as well as activating sound mode, freeze and blackout.
You can't do what you want from the menu.
There is a hack, however, that I found when my foot controller packed up.
Take a paperclip and bend in to a U shape. With the powerbar turned on and in AUTO mode, short out pins 1 and 2 on the DIN socket. Keep doing this and it will cycle through the in-built programmes - there is a programme for each colour. Programme 8 (I think) will auto cycle through each colour and Programme 9 will auto fade through each colour in turn, with all four spots showing the same.
Give it a go.

A festival stage manager has asked me what frequency I'd like for my unit. Its a channel 38 Sennheiser G4. He's asking because he's got a number of mics on that channel. I've gone back to him asking him to tell me what to use, does that make the most sense?

I like the look of the Sennheiser receiver, small and stylish and the specs look like a good comparison with the Shure BUT, I just can’t be doing with these bug style transmitters. The great thing about the Shure is the solid metal(old school style) transmitter, and the fact that it takes rechargeable, replaceable batteries that last a very long time.

Not yet, but I have this itchy finger that's not properly wired to my wallet. If/when it gets to £1k or below I'm there......

"I'm a guitarist, I've NEVER liked in ear monitors as it stops me from turing my amp up excessively loud after the sound check because my knees can't hear my £3,500 boutique amp well enough"
I've been pushing my guitarist to use IEMs but he has resisted until now. Only last week he came to me with this idea so I'm going to push it for all it's worth. I can't believe Pete Thorn hasn't been in a position to get the absolute best IEM sound available....

I bought my 600 EVO IV RC for £300 but it did need a service by my tech as a couple of things weren't working. Cost me £50 to sort.

What's the maximum relief you can measure at the 8th fret when you fret a string at the first and last frets?

I highly recommend contacting Shure. Thoroughly excellent Customer Support in my experience.
Do Shure provide support for Line6 products?

It's hornless, as it's the tweeter version (maybe Dairy version )
Sorry I meant tweeter. I disconnected it on mine (previous version) as did many others.

They've changed it! - the VLE is now " Old School" is it? and the VPF is gone in favour of a preshape. Balanced input has also gone but footswitch has appeared. and a mute switch at long last. Did they do anything about the hissy horn?

Write it a stern letter methinks
Cracking looking rig, am extremely envious
We don’t write enough stern letters to venues with poor acoustics. This is a very good idea!

Did it sound better than the other day when you weren’t happy with it?
Oh yes. It has redeemed itself. I apologised to my amp. The previous venue is now in my bad books.

I’ve done mine just like this, with oil soap, wet and dry and then tru oil. Gives a super clean and smooth finish.

And significant low cut too.
I found with the shape activated you have to cut back on the bass. Interesting that the shape cuts the mids and Lozz cuts them even more. That's got to be quite a zingy tone there.

To change the subject, I saw Pearl Jam last night. Jeff Ament was using what looked like a ABM 600 EVO IV RC in a custom housing - alongside a Bad Lieutenant and another amp I couldn't recognise, each sat on a 810.

Having lived in both Alconbury and Sawtry for many years I can categorically say that is untrue. The map might not show it yet but the whole area between Peatboghorror and Cambridgeland is riddled with them.
