2. Bad timing....and Blueburst with Maple....Get thee behind me satan!
3. I was just awake enough to compliment on this guys awesome tone to my non-appreciative significant other!
4. After a bit of experimenting this evening (Also gave me a chance to try my new Nate Mendel P) I am more than happy with it's power through the cab. At around 2 on the volume it was shaking the room. I guess I just needed to suss the amp out a bit more.
5. I have the gain set at around 1/2 o clock on the dial, occasional peak light coming on but then I do like a bit of grit to my sound.
6. Hello BC'ers, I recently took delivery of a new Ampeg PF-800 to replace my Hartke LH500. I am running it into a Fender Neo 610 cab connected via Speakon. The head is listed as being 800w RMS @ 4 Ohms and the cab is listed as handling 800w cont. at 4 Ohms also. However it seems incredibly quiet. I run a MM Sterling into it and in order to get a usable gig volume I have to have the volume up to half and not use the -15db active bass button. The Hartke was never anywhere higher than about 4 on volume. Am I doing something wrong? It's really not creating the wall of sound that I had hoped. Cheers, Joe
7. I have for sale my 1999 Musicman Sterling. It is finished in a nice deep metallic blue with black pick guard and a rosewood neck. Does all the usual sterling sounds, ranging from super meaty right through to nice growly single coil. Its in good all round condition and comes with a Kinsman hard-softcase (tatty but functional). Offered at £625 including shipping within the UK in a Hard-ish case. Without doubt a super price for a proper US Musicman. No trades on this one.

10. Hi All, Have up for sale my Hartke 410 TP Cab which I picked up from Mr. Skankdelvar a few months back (Hope you don't mind the picture reuse). It's been used to weekly rehearsal and performed admirably. The cosmetic condition is not 100% with some raising of the carpetting due to over excited cats but there are no tears to speak of. The important thing is it works perfectly, sounds nice and punchy and is pretty darn light. It is 300w @ 8ohms. I am only moving it on due to upgrading to something else. I gave £60 for it so I have priced fairly at £45. Now the important bits. I cannot and will not post this so it is strictly collection only from Ferndown, Dorset. You are welcome to demo it and give it a once over before you take it away and I am sure you won't beat it at this price point. Cheers, Joe
11. "The tone isnt sacrificed at all. It's mostly barely audible rumblings at the low end"....
12. Thanks very much for the kind words. Will keep you posted if we make it up lozz! Cheers. Edit: Incase anyone's interested I run an MM Sterling with rosewood board into tech 21 VT bass di'd out from Hartke LH500.

14. Hey All, The band I play bass for "The Mistakes" just finished our EP last weekend. It's standard punk fayre and I'm not the most talented player but please give it a listen if you're into that kinda thing (Or not) and any feed back, good or bad, is welcomed. https://soundcloud.com/the-mistakes-uk/ Cheers, Joe
