5. Hi All, Up for sale here is my Fender Bassman 610 Neo Cab. This is an absolute monster of a cab for tone, but significantly lighter and easier to move around than most larger cabs. It's the first I have seen come up on here but people seem to appreciate them over on TB with one chap apparently swapping his Bergantino in for one! Please don't mistake this for a cheap cab, its produced in Mex factory (not china) using ply and loaded with 6 x 10" Eminence USA Neodymium speakers. I have used it over the last year and it has been well looked after as with all my stuff. It's loadable into and out of the car on your own and the carry handles etc are all super useful. Tiny bit of tolex peel around the joins on the back but easily stuck back down. Wherever you look this cab will set you back £1040ish. Based on the fact its COLLECTION only I feel I have priced accordingly. Trials most welcome. Tech info here : http://intl.fender.c...-610-neo-black/ Price is £450 OVNO - Collection only from Bournemouth Area.
6. Hi All, Up for sale is my Sansamp VT Bass pedal v2. Its a truly amazing bit of kit and has been a part of my live setup for the past year or so. I'm selling up all my gear so this is now up for grabs. Condition is superb, everything functions as it should and comes with tin and instructions. Priced at £85 inc Postage to mainland UK. Thanks for reading! JM
7. Don't know if this has been mentioned on here already (Search didn't turn anything up). Steffi Stephan (?) Signature Squier Jazz V. Looks quite nice imo. Oly white with matched headstock etc. Graphic is a bit dubious but not overally imposing. Link below..... http://www.thomann.de/gb/fender_sq_steffi_stephan_jazz_bass_v.htm Cheers!
8. Thanks for the kind comments everyone. I agree listening through on something with a bit more beef down low it could certainly use a few tweeks there! There is indeed a slightly different bass line over the outro chorus, It's actually in the dusty end of the fretboard but needs to be a touch more prominent than it is now. I think the bass tone is also a bit clankier than recorded currently so might need toning down a touch. We're all getting older and what with (trying) to appeal to a wider audience we have consciously steered away from the offensive side of things with the lyrics. As we receive the other songs I will be happy to post them up here and of course the finished article when we get it. Cheers.
9. Hello fellow BC'ers. My bands next EP is currently in the mixing stage before we get it mastered. We've tweeked it so far with our recording chap to a point where we think we are fairly happy. I wonder if you wouldn't listening to this rough mix of one song to see if anything obvious could be improved. https://soundcloud.com/joeplaysbass/set-in-stone-mix-10 Any feedback welcomed, if punk-esque music isn't your thing just be polite Cheers, JM
10. I absolutely love my GZR P in my Nate Mendel P. Vintage P with extra balls.
11. +1 for the NM Precision from me. Love mine to bits, apart the duncan 1/4 pounder which I swapped out for the EMG GZR P and its now the sound in my head and more!
12. Saw this pop up at Andertons website today. Could be a great first bass for someone at this price!! http://www.andertons.co.uk/electric-basses/pid38601/cid682/second-hand-overwater-jazz-bass-inc-case.asp Surely worth a punt for someone at £105.... Cheers, JM
13. Hello all, Up for sale is my Lakland 55-AJ Active Jazz bass guitar. It is a superb playing 5 string jazz bass. - Ash Body with Flame Maple Top in Trans-Black - Maple Neck with Rosewood Board - Passive Jazz Pickups with Active 3-Band EQ - Notorious Lakland low B thanks to 35" scale and thru body stringing. Its a relatively recent purchase for me (Under a month) but due to car issues I need to move it on already, when I bought it it did need a bit of a general clean up. Whomever owned it previously cleared loved playing it but there are no dings/chips anywhere on the body and only 1/2 tiny knocks on the headstock. There is a bit of discolouration to the back of the neck from how much it has been played and the neck being satin/almost unfinished, however the neck is straight as an arrow and the action is low. Since buying it I have restrung it with some D'addario pro steels and it will also come with a Fender gig bag. I am looking for collection only on this one, or I will meet within a reasonable radius of Bournemouth for the right deal. No P/X or stupid low offers please. A new one will currently run you just under £1k. 14. I recently fitted the new EMG GZR P pickup to my Nate Mendel precision and it sounds absolutely fantastic. Super simple installation and pure growly P-Bass all the way!
15. Hey all, Any likes for my band page much appreciated! https://www.facebook.com/themistakesuk Returned in kind!
16. No worries Chard If you need to know specifics please feel free to sling me a PM and I'd be happy to help.
17. Yeah the Nelson is pretty popular as is most of Poole Quay throughout the spring/summer. (We've 6 dates booked there for 2015 atm)
18. As Skank says, I am indeed based in Ferndown which is just between Wimborne and Ringwood. In all honesty I wouldn't live anywhere else now. Its a bit pricey compared to other parts of the country but hey ho. No disrespect intended but we gig a bit in Portsmouth/Southampton and I wouldn't choose to live there, even though a lot of my family are from around there. As far as local music scene goes we have a good array of live music pubs/clubs across Bournemouth/Poole/Wimborne, depending on what styles of music you are playing. A few rehearsal studios dotted about, blues jam nights, all the usual fair for networking and meeting people. It is nice to have quite a few options only a stones throw away but at the same time being able to retreat back away from the busy (?) town life.
