1. Hi All, Another one needs to go, so here is my 1965 Sunburst P bass with original Fender case. This one is a great players bass and has its fair share of wear as you can see from the pics...however the sunburst finish is still really vibrant and it looks and sounds great. Apart from the wear, the two other things worth pointing out are the screw holes above the guard where someone once installed a thumb rest and also the neck plate was screwed into the wood quite firmly at some point, leaving an indentation. You can see both these things in the pics and neither are at all serious. Please feel free to contact me for more photographs, or with any questions. Cheers, Si
 2. I've now sourced a correct period Fender no-logo case in great condition to go with the '64. Cheers, Si
 3. Its always a shock to see photos of the bed you've just got out of plastered all over the internet A great bass at a great price ! Cheers, Si

 5.
I'd love to play one of these old basses just to see if my hand would fit around the neck The GAS to have one might be beaten by the sheer impracticality of not being able to physically play it Still though something alluring about a bass thats been played in for 50 years or so!
If Suzi Q can do it, so can you Cheers, Si

 10.
Crikey mate, you do get some stunners. I might start waiting outside your place and jumping the couriers as they arrive (whilst 'jumping' might sound dubious, I was actually about to write 'interfering with..'. I'm off to see my therapist) C
Sorry Chris, but all my basses come straight through the time tunnel into the loft Cheers, Si
 11. She weighs a slender 8.3lbs Cheers, Si

 13.
My '63 is gorgeous and this is a looker too - another one from Si's vintage loft of dreams!
Thanks Clarky...they'd look great as a pair Cheers, Si
 14. Hi All, Up for sale is my 1964 Fender Precision Bass, pro-refinished in aged OW. Apart from the refin and a replaced guard, she is all original. I recently sourced one of these for Clarky (although a 1963) and was so impressed with the end-result that I commissioned this one. However, more recent additions to the corner of the loft marked 'do not sell under any circumstances' mean that she has to find a new home. Includes correct period Fender no-logo case in great condition. Cheers, Si
 15. Pablo bought both my '65 P bass and '66 J bass. Having had the pleasure of dealing with Pablo before, I knew it would be a very easy transaction....which it duly was Thanks Pablo. A great guy who I would highly recommend to anyone. Cheers, Si

(I saved a pic of it on my phone and also posted it to Facebook.....sad much?!) Si
LOL - do I get a quid everytime someone looks at the pic on facebook ? Cheers, Si
 18. In answer to a couple of PMs, she weighs in at 8.2lbs Cheers, Si
 19.
Simon actually has a time machine which he uses when he needs a few quid. Pop back to the early seventies to get a few sixties guitars, store them in his not insubstantial loft and there you go.
Hey Paul...and there's me thinking my secrets were safe with you old chum Cheers, Si

 23. Hi All, Up for sale is my 1966 Sunburst J Bass, 100% original with original case. This one is clearly a highly mojo'd player as you can see from the pics...but looks and sounds the business. She weighs in at 8.7lbs. Feel free to PM me for more pics or with any questions. Cheers, Si
 24.
Which is about £1500-2000 shy of what even the US dealers are asking for similar instruments. Hell of a deal Si, good luck Chris
Thanks Chris - a shame you don't need another '65 at the moment Cheers, Si
