  1. Hi, i've been after a small powerfull combo but can't realy afford a Markbass cmd 121p and have been looking out for this Ibanez and would probably buy one (un-heard) from good things i've read in mags/ internet etc. The thing is i'm wary about is buying fron Thormann incase anything went wrong, you can't just pop it back to the shop, none of the music shops my way have it in. So, am I being over cautious, is the fact it's from Germany incidental, obviously the guy that started the thread wasn't bothered, any opinions, good or bad?
  2. I wanna try this amp, why very little information in the music media and on the net, nobody seems to be advertising it as 'in sock'. This seems a perfect combo for me but it's as rare as hen's teeth, anybody know why?
  3. scrumptious, drool, drool....nice buy.
  4. What about 'Kadjagoogoo' Too Shy? ......some great music already mentioned, went to see New Order in the early/mid eighties at Preston Guild Hall, half way through the set a massive fight broke out and I mean MASSIVE, the band went off for about ten minutes until it stopped. Me and my girl had gone on the motorbike so we had our helmets, thought we would need them at the gig at one point. Ah..good memories, perhaps Hooky remembers it? The first three Simply Red albums are sheer class.
  5. hey Kets, i'm a bit suprised aswell, maybe wrong time of year? your list at bottom of your post looks quite interesting, anything you fancy trading? If it wasn't for the fact I have my Ibanez SR500 which I have to keep, I would definitely be keeping the Cort. But because of the sound similarity's I fancy something different, I would also consider a trade against a tidy condition Markbass CMD 121p combo.
  6. please note hard case included, any taker's before I trade it in?
  7. anybody bought & fitted a MightyMite Jazz neck from fleabay? are they as good as described and any problems with fitting? Ilike maple fretboards. Any experiances shared appreciated.
  8. hi John, it comes with a newish padded gig bag, I do have a bass hard flight case which I would be prepared to include if anybody wants a deal on this fine bass, by the way in answer to a previous question this bass will work in passive and active mode. cheers...Nick
  9. as requested yesterday, Cort bass weighs between 9.5 and 10 pounds on my bathroom scales, the same weight as my Squier vintage modified fretless jazz if that helps any. cheers....Nick
  10. hi, I will weigh it tomorrow and post the weight on forum, it is not superlight weight but not heavy either. I am in Cumbria near Kendal J36 M6. Postage (insured) will be about £20 but I will pay it. Hope this helps, cheers...Nick.
  11. Quality pics of bass as suggested/ requested; enjoy, it's a stunning bass!
  12. for sound clips of these awsome basses search 'Darrell Harris Cort' on youtube, he's a Cort endorsee, be amazed.
  13. For sale Cort GB94 bass. Beautifull high gloss real wood polished grain, absolute stonking bass for the money. Plays and sounds superb. No knocks, No bangs, No dings, No scratches, No buckle rash, perfect strings.....As New! This bass has never been used and is as new, infact when I bought the bass it was a new delivery and had only been on the shop wall that day. You could walk into a shop now and get one down that has had more use than mine, it's just lived in it's case since I got it apart from the odd times (few minutes here & there) i've had a play on it. The reason it's had so little use is the reason i'm selling it, I also have a Ibanez sr500 which I use all the time. The sounds of the two bases are very similar except the CORT has a larger range of sounds available. The Cort is the better made, better finish, higher quality bass, so I should be selling the sr500, BUT, the Ibanez was bought for me as a present & holds great sentimental value. Cort make some incredible basses in their own name but also some instruments are made at the same factory for Fender, Ibanez, G&L, Lakland and more. These bases go for around £600 now so i'm wanting £400, OR will trade for Geddy Lee Jazz, MM Sterling SB14 or Ray34, Tokai Jazz, Squier CV Jazz or cheaper (quality) Jazz copy. 14. I'm thinking of buying a Jazz style bass for £250 ish, at the moment i'm considering Squier CV Jazz and Tokai ABJ35 jazz sound. Any opinions, or even other suggestions? I had a USA Jazz many years ago so thats the type of bass I want. Any suggestions apreciated.
  15. Sold a Jazz scratchplate to Dave, he was more knowledgeable than me about Fenders and also the Forum. He had excellent communication and paid straight away, a real freindly deal. thanks.

  17. hi Dave, yes it is 10 hole no truss rod cut out plate. I bought it from a seller who advertised it as just a fender Jazz plate. It was for my VM fretless Squier Jazz (also bought a torty plate at same time, which I used on my bass, the pearle one is the same) so yes it phisically fits (pickup to neck pocket) a VmJ but weather the holes line up I don't know. I can accurately measure a few holes so you can check it against yours... front of pickup cutout to ctr of hole at top back corner of neck pocket = 87mm, hole at same dimension but bottom of pickup & bottom neck pocket= 99mm, back of pickup c/out at top to adjasent level hole= 25mm, hole at same dimension but level at bottom pickup cutout= 41mm, ctr of hole at bottom of neck pocket to ctr of hole dirrectly bellow it= 86mm. hope this helps...Nick
  18. Hi folks, I have for sale a Fender Jazz scratchplate in pearle white for sale. White-black-white. Now I don't know what type of Jazz it fits (USA, Mex, Jap, Squier??) because I bought 2 the same type in different colours and fit one to a VM Jazz if that helps, the pearle white one is surplus to requirements so may as well be sold if anybody needs one. I can take some measurements if this helps anybody, shall we say £10 posted....thanks.
