  1. Could be capacitor not doing its job. You could fiddle all day and it can still let you down. Take it to an amp repairer, with a scope -probably works for the music shop. Normal charge £40. May even lubricate the fan if decent.
  2. Excellent condition and working order. 200W. 8 ohm. Ive preferred these to any other make out there except EV & JBL which weigh a ton. Made for Trace Elliot, this speaker provides that warm and defined crisp tone. Retiring NYE 2018 and selling up. Geoff Coseley West Mids 01902 833173
  3. Hi, Have you still got a couple of 10’s for sale? Cheers Geoff West Mids
  4. Two Celestion BG80 80W 10” 8ohm speakers ex Trace Elliot 1048H 320W cab. Excellent working. £40 for the pair. Geoff, Coseley, West Mids. 01902833173 Mob 07757296948
  5. As long as your drummer uses 7A sticks you’re fine with your class d amp.
  6. Correct and thanks for your input. I’m retiring soon.
  7. Cannot tell the difference against a 500. The sound now, is as it initially left the factory.
  8. Further reduction £1125 01902833173 Geoff
  9. Ashdown 400w head. Professional sound. Nice condition. You’ll put your class d in the bin when you hear it. I’ve just had a full check over/serviced by Ashdown to ensure a first class amp for sale. Variable 12AX7 valve drive pre amp. etc etc Made in England in the early days. Welcome to test here in Coseley, West Midlands. Geoff 01902833173

  11. Below is a response from Musicman in Obispo USA. I cannot copy and paste the email because of sole use of the intended recipient Geoff Thanks for the interest in Music Man! We have done some small runs for distributors including Strings & Things UK. On Mon, May 21, 2018 at 5:25 AM, Webmaster <[email protected]> wrote:
  12. I must find out more information about this bass.
  13. I understand what you mean now. Being a Precision player I’m not too much up on Stingrays, thought I’d give one a go before packing it in. I advertised this for what I paid for it. There’s no modifications to woodwork etc, it’s perfect. It must be a Stingray 4 or whatever you call it. Sorry if I mislead with ignorance, there was/is no pulling the wool over eyes on this site!, Im not like that anyway. I’ll knock £100 off now to £1225 Geoff
  14. Haven’t a clue what you’re on about
  15. My last fling. Absolutely excellent and beautiful condition, balanced warm tone. Weight 4.3kg. I’ve left the mirror scratchplate on, simple to put the original back. 16. Well, all change again. The Bergs did need a lot of power and after going through the class d heads and losing money with the so called power above 500W needed, I concluded this crap is not for me. Having tried many neo speakers and been disappointed with them, I thought I’d buy a Barefaced compact cab after reading the great reviews and plenty of push from the designer (why not?). It’s true, the drummer will tell you to turn down because he can hear you BUT I found the sound , loud clear, and irritating with no balls. Hence back full circle after 3 years of trials, a Trace Elliot style set up, 1x15 cab and 2x10 cab. A stage further, recently I bought Ashdown compacts since the handles are in the horizontal plain and easier to slide onto the back seat as opposed to the Trace handles. I can put up with the Blues but may change for Celestions when they come up.
  17. Wish I was closer and younger
  18. I read when you played through one of these, the drummer would ask the bass player to turn down, well it’s correct! Great condition and working order with cover. Welcome to test/trial here in Coseley, West Mids, you won’t be disappointed.
