1. have you still got this for sale?
2. Thanks for posts but where can I get a shielded insert lead !!!!!
3. I am using a tonebone on my pedalboard which is great as it allows me to use 2 basses and just works really well (apart from the humm) for my set up. The problem I have is that the effects loop on the tonebone is a TRS insert type jack so I have to use an isert lead. I am getting some humm from this as it is un shielded. I have tried routing it away from all my power leads etc but still getting humm ... ideas appreciated..?

5. This is a great bass ...It was mine before I sold it to Graham !
6. I have a new Lakland and I have noticed the same thing. I think its the GHS strings they use. I'll be switching to elixirs once I've worn these out.
7. You don't need the 4 track to play along... You can import songs (or drum tracks) directly into the programme and it will let you then loop sections and slow down (without pitch change) the hard bits ! Audio quality not great but a useful gizmo for practicing with. There are some other free software amps that work with your irig on Itunes that you might try: pocket amp and ampkit. good luck
8. found a new tonebone on evil bay for 125 notes so took a punt ! should be here soon. Impressed by the number of clebrity endorsees
9. I gig with a stingray 5 and a recently purchased lakland 55-60. They have quite different signal levels so was thinking of using a tonebone to dial them both in to the same level for my amp.. anyone use a tonebone or know of any alternatives ?
10. Well I picked it up from the courrier depot this morning and despite strict instructions from my wife I whipped it out for a quick noodle (the bass that is !!) It is beatifully made and has such a great action and fast neck I'm blown away. I haven't plugged it into an amp yet but sounds good on my amplitube iphone app. I'll post a proper review when I've gigged it. Thanks again all posters.. Greatly appreciated.
11.
3 Weeks old set of elixirs. Not played aggressively (jazz, chords & little funk slap etc) Not gigged. Coating is showing signs of fraying. Loved the feel and sound of these strings so its a shame about the quality control. I know this has been posted on B.C. before but does anyone have any suggestions on a good quality equivelant with similar feel and sound. Have contacted Strings Direct and Elixir for advice - am I wasting my time with this avenue. ??? Sorry if this is going over old stuff but would appreciate any help or advice. Cheers Dave
I too use Elixirs. I notice the coating frays where I pluck with my right hand and on the most used parts of the string but even though they fray they still keep their tone longer than anything else I have ever used.
12. Enough already !!! I have just ordered a new 55-60 lakland with RW block and bound board (one of my pre requisites). I have heard so many good things about the lakland and so many bad about the fenders it had to be done. You have however opened my eyes to sandberg ! Bit worried by their resale value but i never sell anything anyway ! As for the bongo ! not really a jazz is it ? but I do love my stingray5 which has lots of bark and growl. Thanks again to all that posted.
13. Thanks for all posts... What was a 2 horse race just got bloody complicated !
14. thanks.. checked web sites .. not many sandberg jj5 's in stock except in germany ! might have to order a lakland ! necks supposed to be fast and smooth especially compared to fender.. would love a sadowsky but my budget doesn't run that far.
15. thats really useful.. don't mind new or used. Liking the look of a sandberg .. especially with the ebony board.. no binding or blocks though. Where are sandberg made and does it have a nice c shaped neck? I love my stingray but need something I can use thats a little more subtle and easier to record with. Who stocks sandberg in the uk ?
16. I am currently looking for a 5 string jazz type bass. current contenders are the fender deluxe 5 and the lakland 55-60 retro. or a second hand dj or jo 5. Has anyone bought a lakland since the takeover ? really want a rw neck and like the block and binding on the lakland and fenders. any ideas anyone ?

No body mentioned a deep impact ? they are supposed to be the best synth pedal bar none aren't they ?

20.
A bit of provenance on this. I bought it about two years ago from Chaz Chandler in Kingston. It had been owned by a guitarist and was pretty filthy as a result. Cleaned it up, new strings, etc. Fabulous bass, and the piezos work perfectly. There's not much between this and a lot of Overwaters I've played tbh, and the craftsmanship on the through neck is a joy to behold. I traded it with Ady for a US Jazz 5, but still miss this bass a bit... The pickups are lovely - classic P tones from the front, and the jazz pickup is sweet as a nut. The B is firm and punchy. Someone buy this before nostalgia takes over.
Sent a PM as soon as I saw this.. assuming I am not the first bidder. dam shame as I really really really want one of these
21.
Nice bass. where are you?
I am Near Exeter in Devon. You are very welcome to come and try it out. I am Happy to send via courier.

23.
After much deliberation I have decided to move this on to someone who will use it. I have maybe played it twice in the last year. Its a mk1 trb5 lined fretless with original hardcase and schaller straplocks. The bass is in very good condition with no major dings . There are a few very small chips in the laquer on the back but not through into the wood. Fretboard is excellent, wide string spacing and 34 inch scale. I have my eye on a lakland JOBO5 and need the money.. Trades for a lakland jazz5 or a fender USA jazz 5 considered. This bass is in near mint condition and is a rare quality japanese made bass. I really don't want to sell it but I am not allowed another bass until I sell one
Monday Morning Bump .. come on this is a bargain !!!!
