A true single coil pickup will always sound more 'open' and 'natural', than a dual coil that has been split in half

But it will never sound like a true single coil due to magnetism

Biased opinion here potentially, being as we sell these AND we are big fans of Hadrien's playing. Massive fans of these basses, they are beautifully made with some of the best setups I have ever played. The necks are thinner in dimensions in terms of the back to front measurement, pretty lightweight and versatile enough tonally

Get a decent strap and some weights

Hi - I have only ever felt neck dive on the small body basses, I personally have a Series II in 32" which is balanced, but very heavy (even with the chambered body) It was me (Marcus), who spoke to Alembic and got them in, I have been passionate about this brand for as long as I can remember, so I am extremely excited about this Have a great day

They are amazing basses, the build quality is just off the charts and the range of tones from one bass is pretty much unmatched (to me, we are all different of course) I can't wait to be displaying these basses here, I dreamt of owning an Alembic for years as a kid, and had one myself for a few years, which is just dreamy! We cannot wait, we have a couple of Stanley's and a Mark King to get us underway, then no doubt we will have some series basses etc down the line somewhere

but is it 1/4 of the bass, thats the question ;), Seriously though, each to their own, and if you can afford it great, if not then get a pre-owned example

We are really really excited about this! Big fans of Alembic here, always trying to get in pre-owned instruments where we can, and to have the opportunity to open some Alembic sized parcels from the USA is a bit of a dream come true. I reached out to the Spector about this and it is a USA built prototype that he has been playing alongside several Euro CST and Classic basses. They are expecting this to be a Euro or Korea Spector in the end. Watch this space I guess? :)
