I have just received a set of Chromes from Stringbusters and the E is dull and dead sounding. Emailed them and had a response within an hour to say that they will ship another set today by way of apology from D'Addario. How about that for all round customer service!! As an aside, the Chromes (flatwounds) went on my Stingray and I am now converted.

Bump These cabs were over a grand new and, if you heard one, you would agree that they sound like it. I have been asked what the difference is between the Uber 212 and Neox 212 and the honest answer is that I have never heard a Neox 212 so couldn't comment. There is a thread on Talkbass that suggests the Neox is a bit more mid prominent. I would describe the Uber as clean without sounding Hi-Fi. Having said that, if you dial some mids in at the amp, that's exactly what you get through the Uber, it really is a versatile cab.

Just sold a fret file to Thunderbird and it was a pleasure to do business with him.

I have no other reason for parting with this other than that I have had a whiff of GAS and am going after something Swedish, and it's not Britt Eklund!! I bought it to pair with my Shuttle 9.2 and it is a fantastic combination of loud, deep, warm and, above all, uncoloured. Also, being a 4ohm cab, you get the full output of your amp if you use it as a single cab - and you could certainly do just that. Condition-wise it is 9.5/10, comes with a cover, and is an easy lift. £375 This is the one: http://www.genzbenz....&sid=611&cid=96 There is an Ed Friedland review video at the bottom of the link. The cab is detailed after 7 minutes or so. I have sourced all the necessary packaging , so postage at cost is now an option. Here are pics I hope (can't stand Windows 8.1): http://s290.photobuc...html?sort=3&o=2 http://s290.photobuc...html?sort=3&o=0 http://s290.photobuc...html?sort=3&o=1 http://s290.photobuc...html?sort=3&o=3

I have one of these surplus to requirements now that I have a Shuttle 9.2 head with this function built in: http://ews-us.com/it...php?item=custom There are a couple of tiny dings but other than that it is in great shape. It's boxed and instruction manual is included. Runs off internal 9v battery but I am including a Dunlop ECB004 18v adapter that cost £24 new. Asking £95 posted (UK mainland)

I have one of these surplus to requirements: http://crimsonguitar...-levelling-file Used it once with great success, on a Tanglewood/Overwater bass, but will hardly be needing it now that I have a Stingray. If you follow the Crimson Guitars video instruction, it is not hard to get a good result and it is an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon too. £20 includes p&p (UK)

I have just bought a stomp box from Rick. All dealings were by PM and I have to say that his communications were great throughout the deal. I have never received a parcel so carefully wrapped either. Buy or sell with absolute confidence.

Recently took delivery of a tuner pedal from Matt. It arrived really well packed and looked new when I took it out of the box. Well pleased and wouldn't hesitate to buy from Matt again.

I recently bought this from a fellow Basschatter. It is the second generation version and is immaculate. It is everything that people say about them - incredibly light and incredibly loud but, having parted company with a Markbass set-up for this and a GB Shuttle head, I'm afraid this is just not my type of sound. If I was a gigging bassist then it would be ideal, but at lowish volumes I miss the more hi-fi sound of the Marbass cab. As it happens, I am taking deliver of a GB Uber cab tomorrow. As I say, it is pretty much unmarked. The only comment I have is that the rubber on the handle needs helping back into its slot after you've lifted the cab. The cab comes with a Roqsolid cover and I will happily p&p or meet within 25 miles of J23 M5. I would like to recoup close to what I paid, hence the asking price of £425 o.n.o. Sold Pete a combo, and traded cabs at the same time. Met up to complete the transaction and (inevitably) have a chat about gear. I have no hesitation in recommending Pete as someone who keeps to his word, is prompt if you arrange to meet, and who obviously really looks after his gear.

Looks like I messed up the photo links. Trying again: -
Here's what the manufacturer says: A more “hi-fi” alternative to the Mini CMD 121P, thanks to its larger size and 1” compression driver and custom horn. Easily upgrades to a 500W rig with the addition of a New York 121 or Traveler 121H cabinet. Designed for bass players who need power, portability and top performance. Had from new - early 2011, although the serial plate states 2010. I paid close to £1k for it and it comes with a Roqsolid cover, which I bought simply to keep the sun off it! It has been used for home use and has left the house only twice. Other than that, I have used it for fun at home. Needless to say, it is immaculate. 500 watts with an extension cabinet - I have a matching traveler cab and the two together are incredible. I have no good reason for selling this except that I fancied a change and have just secured a Shuttle to partner the Traveler cab that I am keeping. p&p no problem or I will meet within 25 miles of J23 M5 http://s290.photobuc...pg.html?filters=69429318&filters[recent]=1&sort=1&o=0 http://s290.photobuc...pg.html?filters=69429318&filters[recent]=1&sort=1&o=1 http://s290.photobuc...pg.html?filters=69429318&filters[recent]=1&sort=1&o=2 http://s290.photobuc...pg.html?filters=69429318&filters[recent]=1&sort=1&o=3 http://s290.photobuc...pg.html?filters=69429318&filters[recent]=1&sort=1&o=4

Just received a BF Compact from Chris. He obviously looks after his kit - this thing is spotless!! Communications have been great (txt and PM) and the cab arrived the day after he posted it (Yodel would you believe), his packing was first rate, and I would recommend him to deal with without hesitation.
