1.
OMG I WANT it!!!! ive had a fortess masterman my self and regretted selling it! ive got two fortress ones and yes personally i think defo some of the best warwicks produced! I'd love to add tis to my fortress family but sadly no funds and no trades (unless i can tempt you with a trace elliot T-Bass!!??
I can tell your slightly impressed. Fender only Im afraid...If things change then do get back to me. Im in no hurry
2.
Personally the Fortress is my choice of the Warwick stable. Less and less good ones about now. The MM pickup really does growl like a bear with a sore throat. Like I said, if only.........
No worries mate. Im sure it will be someones cup of tea. I'll be using her at tomorrws gig, Fender in with the Tech.
3.
Absolutely stunning. It's a shame it's not a 5. Otherwise..... You know the rest! Good luck with the sale. The Fortress is an acquired taste. Some say Marmite. But then again I like Marmite.
Lots of debates held over the years as to why they discontinued them. Ive had Streamers, Thumbs and even a Buzzard and this is the most balanced and growly of them all. A great example of how good Warwicks can be
4. Here is the Warwick Fortress Masterman Custom. Ive used this as my main gigging and recording bass for the last 14 years. Many basses have come and gone in that time (i.e. other top line Warwicks, MM, G&L, Shuker, Status) but this one has always been the one that gets used. I was very lucky to have this made via a friend who worked closely with the Warwick workshops back in the 90's and he asked me to design my ultimate bass from the options they had available to them. I selected the following: Fortress Masterman in Flamed maple finished in translucent emerald green with black hardware. Ultra slim C profile Wenge neck with Tigerstripe Ebony fingerboard, jumbo frets and side markers. MEC twin Jazz controlled by Volume, Pan Stack and 2 independent bass cut and boost stack knobs. Schaller D Tuner Anyway, the guy turns up to a jam one day with the hand made bass Id specified. I bought it on the spot (I had no choice really, it was way too nice to let go or lose the opportunity) The price of the bass back then was way in excess of £2000 She has amazing depth and character. Wonderful to play with plenty of mojo, road wear and dings in the usual places. The neck is unmarked and true with a very effective truss rod for even the tinyest adjustment. She really does sings like a bird or she can growl like a feral animal when required (as good Warwicks do) Reason Im offering her up for trade is due to health I wont be gigging as much as I used to and have fallen for the old Fender bass. Just bought myself a 70's P bass and would like a nice US Jazz to complete the set. For sale at £800 but flexible, make an offer. She's a VERY special bass and someone is going to be very pleased if they take her on. I love this bass, however Im sure someone will appreciate and use her more than I will. She hasnt been under the bed, this baby has worked hard and loved every second of it, its been well looked after and has just had a lovely new set of Ernie Ball strings put on. The action is low to medium due to my preference, although its very easy to adjust to very low with the Warwick Just-A-Nut, string spacing is also adjustable at the bridge. Comes with good quality semi flight hardshell case More Pics here: http://s1189.photobucket.com/albums/z431/Col4string/ Thanks for reading Cheers Col
5. Hi folks, After much deliberation I have taken the plunge and bought myself what is quite possibly my dream bass. She's a 1975 Fender Precision (black on black - maple) and sounds phenomenal. She is totally original , my only worry is that the neck is heavily relic'ed. The owner must have worn some heavy duty hand jewelery is all I can figure out for the level of wear. I'm loving this bass and want to use it for regular gigging. Do you guys gave any tips o'r do's and dont's for these old and battered road dogs. All comments greatly appreciated. I've just given her a once over with Gerlitz polish and bought her a new Fender deluxe plush leather case. Pics to follow. Cheers in advance Col

9. Morten bought a very lovely bass from me. Paid in nano seconds and maintained good comms throughout the transaction. A very worthy candidate for 10/10 trader ***************** Thanks Morten enjoy the bass. Kind regards Col
10. Ah well. I tried to keep this beauty within the BC community. She has to fly to Evilbay for inflated fees and dodgy geezers.
11.
Can't expand more than a 6 string Warwick Bump!
Too many bass strings but guitar trade offers welcome
12.
Happy new year to you ss well Col! I'm amazed this one hasn't gone yet, hand built custom and as new, a sign of the times I guess.
It is indeed, mind you, it isnt a hardship holding on to her as she is a gem. I'd just like something other than this as my other basses cover the jobs this one does. Expanding the toolbox so to speak
13. And a nice trio of them you have too. Warwick seem to have lost their coolness and have little residual value but truth be told they are truly fantastic basses. Im so glad that GAS never drove me to sell mine. The only reason I didnt sell it on is that it was built to order and I wouldnt get another like it.......
14. Thank you. It is stunning in every sense of the word Kev. Very different to a Warwick but it just oozes quality and mojo....
15. I sooooo love thew look of this bass, just wish times were better and I could afford the trade
16. Being New Years Eve and all I decided the have abit of a change and take my Warwick out of retirement. Up until now Ive been using my workhorse Fender Jazz and taking my back up bass along for those 'just in case' moments. Ive been suffering a lot of GAS of late which Im sure your all pretty used to. Anyway, I gave the Warwick a few tweaks and got her gig fit. Well, there it was, the tone and feel Ive been gassing for. I'd left this beautiful guitar on its hanger for quite some time and in fact had sort of lost interest in working her. I couldnt believe that all the gasing / trading / buying / seeling had been in vain. Duh, what a daft git Ive been, Gas is made 1000 000 times worse by this fab site. Too much opportunity for changes and indulgences with too many like minded people. Gas is a cruel affliction........mine is now cured thank goodness!! This happened elsewhere?? Just thought Id share my experience of 'DUH' ness
17.
Used to be one of mine, it's a good price for a really nice bass, well worth considering.
Cheers Chris Happy New Year to you mate
18. Pre NYE gig bumparoonie. Happy New Year everyone. She's coming out with me tonight.......possibly withdrawn if she performs
