      It has arrived! 😃

I'm on shift starting tonight, so it's going to be super frustrating for me knowing I'm not able to devote the time I should be to a new bass until Tuesday night.

I'll make a NBD post about it when I've spent some quality time with it, so for now this will have to do.

I had to spend some time with it to know if I was going to get on with it, then I had to take photos of it.

      NBD thread is up.

  2. Uh-oh. A Paddington stare incoming in 3 … 2 … Mark
  3. Oohh that matte black on the back. Nice. Mark
  4. +10 Internet points for having all the poles lined up. Mark
  5. Thank you all for not making me feel like a failure! I may go back to the song that prompted this thread at some point, but not this week. Thank you all for your input so far. Mark
  6. I'll add https://www.geminipickups.co.uk to the growing list. Very good to deal with, incredibly helpful and receptive to emails. Mark
  7. Have you ever tried to learn a song and it was just frustrating you so much trying to get it down that you just walked away from it? I tried really hard to get the bass line for Money by Pink Floyd, but there's a change from verse to bridge (I think, it was about 15 years ago) that I just couldn't get my fingers to work properly on. hahaha You know when you know the notes you want to go to, but because your fingering is in a different position/shape before the change that you literally just trip your fingers over each other? That change in Money was like that for me. I was at the point where I thought I had to relearn how I was playing it to make the changes possible. Which, at the time, that just seemed mental to me, but was probably the correct course of action if I wanted to carry on with it. I may give it another go sometime, but not today. 😂 PTSD or something about that song now. Hahaha Mark
  8. I'm kinda diggin' that hole in the top horn though. Mark
  9. I've lived my whole life in this position, why change the habit of a lifetime now. 😂 Mark
  10. That's not the kind of message your site would have if it was just being revamped. Mark
  11. Money is no issue? A really nice workshop and machines/tools to make my own basses, because I'll need to do something with my time after I pack my job in, which won't be immediately, but it will happen. Ah, it's nice to dream, eh? Mark
  12. I had no idea SCAN did basses. Every day's a school day. Mark
  13. All this talk about Status prices increasing is not good for my long held desire to own a 5-String T-Bass. 😢 Mark
  14. Tracking flights is such a weirdly compelling activity.

I've a friend mid-flight between Cairo and Toronto and she provided me the flight numbers and I'm tracking her progress across the globe.

  15. If the 5-string Sandberg Forty-Eight had a reverse in-line headstock, I'd already have one in my collection. Mark
  16. It still errors on Safari (it is an old version though) I have just tried in the latest Firefox and it worked as expected, so I'd likely put this down to my version of Safari on this Mac - which itself is old, I'll try my iMac later, I'm not expecting any issues there TBH. Mark
  17. I keep getting an error after the first page generated and I'm clicking to generate more … 'Safari can't open the page https://bandname.uk. The error is : "cannot parse response" (NSURLErrorDomain-1017) Mark
  18. Same. It's been working previously but now just says 'Coming Soon' and a login box underneath. Mark
