Whilst yes, you are perfectly free to say what you want, internet boards and forums don't necessarily have to be the medium in which you say it. You still have to abide by the rules within the boards and forums you use. Mark

I really don't think there's anything minor about that proviso. Mark

Bought a Yamaha BB1025x from David (after the sale of a different Yamaha BB fell through with a different seller), communication was great. Very responsive to messages, provided extra information when asked for. The bass is excellent and was packed exceptionally well for shipping. Thanks for restoring my faith in the BassChat marketplace, David. Mark

I'll be continuing my wait for a 5-string Status T-Bass to pop-up on my radar for sale. Mark

I've been reading about this too and apparently the stroke he had in '23 left him paralysed on his right side from his shoulder down, but he was able to recover to about 70% of full movement. That's gonna be tough for anyone to deal with at any point in their lives, but when you are internationally famous for being a drummer all your life, it's gotta add an extra dimension of hurt to you. From what I understand, he's only retiring from touring, so hopefully it's not the last we'll hear from him. Mark

Can anyone help? Mark *Disclaimer - I don't even know if this is a bass, I just saw the image on Fb and laughed at it much more than was actually appropriate and though some here may appreciate it too.

Better bands too? Mark

😳 That's an exceptionally wide nut! Mark

Favourite headstock design? Just for fun...

I wish! It's my 'holy grail' bass though. I have saved searches all over the web for one of these when it pops up for sale. 😂 Sadly I haven't seen one for sale in absolutely ages. Mark -

Ha, I did this just recently with my purchase of a Yamaha BB1025x, from the marketplace here. Cacking myself that I'd not made a mistake, especially after the ParcelForce 24hr service that was used delivered it a day late. Thankfully I knew something was on its way to me as there was a tracking number provided which had sporadic updates from ParcelForce. Turns out all was well and the bass is amazing to play. Mark

The clue : N(B)BD Granted, it was subtle - and completely unintentional - but it had BB right there in the subject. 😂 Mark

The Wife is treating me well today making me birthday pancakes for breakfast, but we aren't here for such frippery 😂 We are here for Bass! Some quick iPhone snaps I took the day the bass arrived, better photos will be taken and posted soon. I have a new set of strings waiting to be put on and I got some strap locks for it too. I'll definitely be replacing the cloverleaf tuners. Purchased from the Marketplace here (for sale thread). Mark

Wonderfully happy today, thank you all. PoiDH will be taking place shortly, thank you for your patience. Mark

Whilst that would indeed be a lovely instrument for someone on here to have bought, it's 4 strings, so not only would I not be getting it, but I suspect I'd need to have remortgaged the house if that was what I'd bought - hint, I did not remortgage the house for the purchase I made. 😂 Mark

Tuning that G string would be interesting. Mark

There,s actually a big clue hiding in plain sight in my post above, but not long to go now before I reveal all. Mark
-
Oohh, what's this then? But I can't have it until Monday (my birthday) as it's a present from The Wife, so if I can't have it until then, you can't be knowing what it is either. 😂 This is the teaser for the main reveal next week. Mark

I still like it without scratchplate, but that black looks lovely on it. Good choice there for sure. Mark

Evenin' all, I need to change the strings on my Washburn AB-35, and I'm unsure which to select. My usual string of choice is the Rotosound 77 flats, 45-130 gauge. I've never changed the strings on this bass from the ones that came with it, and I've no idea what they are but they are certainly a lighter gauge string than the Rotosound ones. Now obviously I don't wanna rip the bridge off the bass by using strings with too high a tension 😂 Will the Rotosound strings damage the bass? If so, what's a good flatwound string of the same gauge that I could use? Mark

Hello and welcome and also … Wow. Nicely done. Mark

Hi from NI. (Heh, that kinda rhymes, unintentionally, but there we are.) Mark

😂 This statement is not untrue. I love mine though. I have the AB-34 as well, which I really should get around to selling at some point. Mark

Fair enough. I can certainly understand your reasoning. I just prefer the look sans scratchplate, but it ain't my bass. Mark
