I recently figured out that it is far cheaper for me to ship kit to my buddy in the UK and fly over on ryanair for a night then it is to ship directly to me in Dublin. Ryanair its less than 30 quid roundtrip... I'm thinking quarterly trips to England will be in my future. I'd avoid shipping fees and import duty. That's mental to me. I recently bought a couple of pedals from lads on here and will be picking up next week when i visit. This is a major revelation!

FYI, i'm a long time effects user, but i've never put together an actual board. i alwasy just crried them around loose and used batteries I have recently bought all the bits and I am about to embark on my own first build. I don't think i'll have any major issues besides space! one thing to know, patch cables are expensive!

Im seeing used ones in the US for under $200 but nothing in EU/UK. I wonder if any friends in the US are coming home soon...

There's no soldering or anything. It's like tetris. Just grab a board and a power supply, some velcro and work away. I bet you can do it on your own! Im sure you can do it with the help of basschat.

Lads, i just bought my chorus and octave. Just need an analog synth and i will post my build when i have it put together I'm excited. Ive always been big into pedals, but never built a board.

anyone make an analog synth pedal besides the EHX. preferably smallish footprint? i have digital synth pedals, (Fi and DI).

Personally, after compressor and before synth i would have any overdrive/fuzz. My chain is always comp (if using)-dist-octave-synth - modulation EQ after synth before modulation if using
