  1. So many used sales never happen as sellers reluctant to ship The solution ( when allowed ) of hand delivery or meet half way etc at cost would move a lot more goods Whenever I see something secondhand I like it’s mostly .. collection only Lets face it you are really limiting your market by asking for collection only. I do agree about the high priced insurance issue when shipping as it really pushes up the price. People just don’t like paying shipping when it’s much over £20 or better still free 👍
  2. Ok for fun and with anticipation for gigging later this year what’s songs would you put in a new fresh set list ? Style / Genre Rock and funky Rock / Pop I would start with ... as suggestions 1: Two Princes 2: Place Your Hands 3: Mr Jones etc etc etc
  3. I’ve used DPD for many guitar and amp sales / shipments Everyone without hitch
  4. Well I’m tempted to get a back up amp but holding back as I need to get a full band on its way over the next two months. I only have a single amp / cab and PBass !!
  5. Just ordered 👍
  6. A lot of songs start off being written on the bass .. The bass really is more important than the guitar in many songs !
  7. What a great posting ... I found that my first time playing in bands on guitar was the classic “ what are we all supposed to do” kind of vibe. Its when you realise you are there to entertain the penny drops and you are a collective “band” of musicians that create this final result called music instead of just an individual playing an instrument!! Always found it was more rewarding playing bass than guitar especially in bands with only a single guitarist
  8. I’ve swung !! from bass to guitar and back to bass I’m a decent rhythm guitarist and acceptable lead guitarist sufficient to of fronted two or three covers bands. However my true love is the bass and I’ve sold off everything guitar related and have only bass gear today. When I listen to music I hear and feel the bass lines more so than the chords / melody lines so I find it more natural playing bass, also more relaxing and enjoyable I was always tone chasing with guitar with many amp and pedal changes etc I wish I had just focused on bass as I would of saved loads of money. So based on that I ticked ONE
  9. But why do they appear on bass amps and not guitar amps typically ?? I know the benefits of having it but curious why guitar amps tend not to have it ?
  10. Why is it most bass amps have a mute feature on them where as guitar amps seldom do ?
  11. This is mine virtually flat but with shape button in 👍
  12. If the top on the RM800 is black it’s first generation.. if it’s silver / grey it’s the current production EVO II
  13. And headphone output 👍
  14. Yep it’s the old version RM800 but still a decent price
  15. My Ampeg BA110 40w is nearly loud enough to play with a drummer ! For large room home practice my volume is about 2 to 3 and it’s got a lot more in the tank Sounds odd that a 50w is quiet at home unless it’s not 50w RMS rated
  16. Just curious were you in a local gigging band ?
  17. I use my RM800 at home and works well
  18. You could run a volume pedal ( low impedance ) in the FX loop Old guitarist trick for solo boost etc
  19. Simple but effective rig
  20. That’s sounds like it’s wrong / faulty My RM800 has the same input and Line Mix control and it works fine with my iPhone input via adaptor to 1/4” Jack
  21. Ampeg BA110 superb combo or the smaller BA108 both great for home use
  22. Wow we are are virtually neighbours!! Greetings from Eye Suffolk 👍
  23. I agree my interpretation of small PA was really a decent vocal only PA yet loud enough to project over the band itself Singers also seldom know how to adjust a PA or add reverb etc etc Then you have fold back or the lack of it !!
  24. I agree singers don’t feel like a small PA system for at least vocals should be something they invest in. We all expect musicians to own their own amps / drum kits etc etc
  25. You definitely learn how to achieve a good on stage and out front band mix without using House PA systems Ok granted these are often smaller pub or hall venues but getting the right sound is often overlooked by many bands who are oblivious to what works etc etc When a band has discovered that it’s then a lot easier for venues with full PA to make a band sound as they normally do.
