Or, are you just like myself, really bored today?
Today has been a ****** day. Seriously. I also don't think that there should be one rule for some, and another for others. That seems to put me in the minority. I just try to call it as I see it. EDIT: Buzz, I don't know who you are. Were you on basstalk/world and what was your name? All this handle changing is too much for my addled brain.

You might want to go "spec for spec" on the Boss DD-20 Joe.

  8. I have a DHA Dual Loop Blender on my desk. I've been reviewing it for him. We've agreed that we will send this on a little tour of the UK. If you would like to demo the blender please reply to this thread. I will gather your information, form a mailing list and we will all try it out. I've found this to be a powerful sound sculpting tool. When everyone who has had the opportunity that wants to we will raffle the pedal for a cancer research charity of DHA's choice. It is exactly the same as this one on Dave's website. http://www.davehallamps.co.uk/Products,%20...l%20Blender.htm Right now the list is: Basszilla Joegarcia Waldo Finnbass Vegas Hooker Slaphappygarry Pablocien Funkyassbassman Anymore for anymore?
How about the mods manage by exception on that one?
It'd help if there was a hard and fast rule so everyone knew where they stood - no? Or maybe, you could publish a list of forums that we're allowed to bitch about? That would clear it up too.
  10. I was using alot of phaser in my last heavy band.

    akai deep impact

The wound that we bass players call "synth" is basically a blend of Octaver, Fuzz and Envelope Joe.
  12. Rich, I always found that my Deep Impact worked best at the very start of my chain. The cable from the bass plugged directly into it. YMMV. Joe

Poking fun at him. G
That's all well and good. Can I have mine back too? I don't care if it is a joke - or do we operate a two tier system on this forum?
  15.
I'm interested too, does anyone have any soundclips of the Bass Purist? Only problem is if I buy one of these I'll need a whole new power supply because I'm using a Diago Daisy Chain right now which only supplies 9v (not enough) or 18v (which would fry it)
Email James: [email protected] He's working on a range of voltage converters for all voltage levels - I'm sure he could help you. Tell him Joe sent you
  16. Tim, That board is the tits. Some modulation could really suit and expand your sonic pallette.

    Octave Pedle
no i gurantee you i was listening hard, and i still didnt like it. true its the best feature on the pedal, best of a bad bunch though im afraid, deep impact preset 6 ftw
Your ears and my ears must be very different - but different strokes for different folks, right? Maybe you should consider that before presenting your subjective opinion as fact? I spent significant time with many different Octavers. Tayste and I sat on the floor of the studio and listened for hours looking for the right octaver tone. We had: deep impact, xBSW, octron, OC-2, OC-3, POG, EHX BMS, arion octaver, pearl octaver. The octron was the best analogue octave pedal and the xBSW was the best digital - in both our opinions.
  18.
That looks really really wrong to me.
Good job it's not your bass then - eh?
How does it play?
=
Also, the fanned frets have had no learning curve for me - honestly - it's just like picking up any other bass.
19.
Lakland Skyline Joe Osborn. IMHO there is no real competition under a grand...
I'd have to agree there. Although I liked the neck on the DJ better.
  20. I don't have a beater. I'd really like one... hrm. Maybe I could get a MIM fender.

    akai deep impact

I liked my Deep Impact - but I think that I can get better synth sounds with individual stomp boxes. It's alot of money for a one-trick-pony with a dodgy interface.

    Loopy

The DL-4 and DD-20 also have some good looping facilities.
  23. I'd just like to extend my previous appreciation to BOD2 for writing this article - that someone else saw fit to delete. Thanks for that A big thanks to Bod2 for preparing this for us. I'd like to see more of this in FX. If any of you have any ideas for more and informative stickies, please PM me. Thanks to all. Toasted
  24. Mark. IIRC DHA has a returns policy. Use it to your advantage! Dave is a great bloke to deal with. If you want to talk to him, send him a PM and ask him to give you a call. It's always a great experience.
