You probably need a shim in the neck pocket, but remove the neck and first see if there is one already! If there is at the bottom end, nearest the pick-ups, take it out. If not then fit one at the top, furthest away from the pick-ups. Try something about 10/12 thousandths of an inch to start with, like a piece of a business card.

Find out what sizes Allen keys you need for your bass/es, are they Metric or Imperial? A couple of screwdrivers that fit what you want, a small adjustable spanner, strings, string cutters, small file, spare battery, spare lead, mini tuner - pretty much covers everything ๐
Far more use than a cheap 'multitool' I reckon.

Armchair diagnosis practically impossible, other than dry joints I dunno! Have you got a illuminated magnifier or microscope?
Good luck

to give an alternative tone cap value, as just twoย options would be enough for me ๐
Hi guys,
Yes I do a simplified - but adequate and very affordable version ๐
4 position rotary switch, fits in a 3/8" 'pothole' and gives you; 1 Kill, 2 By-pass, 3 33nF, 4 100nF
Other cap values can be used, but those give a good differential and I think cover most needs.
Solderless installation, screw terminals, can replace a tone pot, standard P-bass knob fits or Chicken Head.
PM me if interested please.

Bloody foam!
I took a gun out of it's case today only to find the cylinder, (it's a revolver), stuck up with degrading lumps of the bloody foam - that's supposed to be there to protect the contents!!
Makes my p155 boil ๐
At least my bass cases have a nice finish friendly, (I hope), furry lining over the foam.

Over the years I've participated on forums for fishing, shooting, radio control models, gardening, photography, cars and boats, with probably a few I've forgotten, but this is the exeption that proves the rule - if there is one - as already stated, 99.9% of the members are a pleasure to deal with and generally communicate with, 99.9% of the time.

Hey Andy, how ya doin?
Here's another idea ๐ก how about a pick up that slides smoothly from 'almost' bridge to neck, controlled by a rotary like a volume, that you can move while playing!
A step up from a Westone rail ๐

I have genuine Amphenol replacements for those, or you can substitue a standard Switchcraft #11. PM me if you're interested.

What's affordable? A different story, but should be plenty of pre's around.

I think it looks unique without the pickguard
+ 1, has a very cool one off look, a black pg might spoil it.
Nice job Jon ๐

Custom Audio taper > smooth linear!?
.022uF cap has no place on a P bass!
What quality?ย Switchcraft or not?
Twist and bodge!
Just my opinion like ๐

A impuse buy I have to admit, as soon as the advert came up I grabbed the necks, a good start to a new project.
A pleasure to deal with, very easy transaction and very pleased with them, arrived today.
