I need to clear some space for a new ACG Krell I have incoming, so I am putting this lovely Recurve up for sale. It's from the now discontinued "Graft" configuration bass, which was Alan's more cost-effective range and has now replaced by the "Standard", but it's beautifully put together, light weight, and sounds great. [*]Dunlop straplocks [/list] Weight is about 8.5lbs and balance is good. Being a 33" scale it's a breeze to play. There are a couple of little bumps on it, but overall it's very clean. It's served me very well in the time I've had it. It's a "Standard" configuration bass, so no fancy top or filter preamp, but it's beautifully put together, light weight, and sounds great. [*]4 way Rotary switch (neck, neck+bridge series, neck+ bridge parallel, bridge). [*]Active/Passive Switch [*]Dunlop buttons (but not the part that attaches to the strap) [/list] Weight is 8.5lbs and balance is good. There's a bit of a short fundamental around the 5th fret on the G string, not a dead spot as such, but other than that it sings and is in immaculate condition. It's currently wearing La Bella white nylons, which suit the bass well. Here's a video. [/quote] Not looking to derail the thread, but just to confirm La Bella white nylons [i]are[/i] available in a .45 gauge, although to be honest I'd stick with the .50s as the tension is nice and low anyway. Great basses these, and the price is good too.
