The [i]only[/i] reason I did so was it didn't sound good with my acoustic bass, and I needed something more versatile; my Wal sounded great through it. Great amp, great price.

    A friend of mine has one of these too. Three tone sunburst with tortoiseshell scratchplate. It's really well put together.

    Most of the more bespoke luthiers, such as Fylde, Brook etc., are more than happy to supply their instruments without electrics if that is what you want.
