Feedback for Wud

Just received a lovely Fender Jazz 70's RI from Wud. Lovely guy to deal with. Sent me loads of great pics so I could see all of the instrument prior to committing. The guitar arrived incredibly well packaged, and was awesome. Great comms, highly recommended.
2. Always on the GAS list - Gibson Thunderbird. Have been a bit tempted by the new Epi T-birds with the Gibson pickups, but some I have seen haven't had great finishes. Last month or so - Fender Jaguar bass. Had one two years ago, sold it, getting GAS again. Might be daft as too many knobs and switches is a bit of a turn off, but I love the look of these things. Last week or so - Gibson SG. Christ knows why. Never liked the idea of short scale, either. Might pop into Dawsons / PMT tomorrow and try one out to see if that puts it at rest.
3. Just an update on my deck: I got authorisation from my line manager to upgrade it, but she's asked to hang on to the old one for herself, so it won't be up for sale. Sorry!
4. Wow. That's amazing. Well done! I'm sure you will really enjoy that gorgeous instrument. How does she sound?
5. Have had GAS for one of those since 2009. Can I ask how much that beauty set you back?
6.
That looks to be a great buy. Especially with an Ortofon cartridge, I don't see how the O.P will do any better. Just my 2 pence worth.
I couldn't agree more. If anyone is interested and wants pics etc. then DM me.
7. Yeah, I'm thinking about Gumtree. I realise it's okay to talk about them, but I thought as I'm asking for advice about selling one it might be an issue.
8. I'm going to be upgrading my turntable soon so will be looking to move it on. It's a Pro-Ject Expression II like this one (but with an Ortofon cartridge): I have all the original packaging so could post it no prob. Would be in your price range too. Just a thought...
9. Hi there. This might be a topic that gets closed down immediately due to the "no R***********s" rule, but I wanted some advice. I've bought and sold several things on here and found it to be without exception a pleasant and safe process. However, I now need to sell something that I can't sell on here, and I would ideally like to avoid ebay. Now I know there are several guitar forums, but I don't know which ones are any good, so I wondered if anyone here had any advice about alternative locations for this sort of thing? I'm going to try the Leeds Music Forum, but would like to cast my net a little wider. As I say - if the above breaches forum rules then please remove it immediately! Thanks in advance for your help and advice.
10. This might be a really stupid question, but am I right in thinking that if I run my Fender Bassman 100 into my Barefaced Super 12 then I can pretty much turn the amp as loud as I like without fear of damaging the cab? As in will my hearing be destroyed before the cab is, or do I still need to listen out for tell-tale farting noises or something?
11. Had a trade with Mark today - great communication and pics up front, extremely accommodating and very friendly, not to mention having a great rehearsal space. An absolute pleasure to deal with. Thanks again, Mark!
12. Less chance of me ruining it, too... It also means that the basses I've been drooling over are more expensive if they're 60's rather than 70's, however.
13. Thanks guys! That's brilliant. Looks like I'll stick with the ones it's got on.
14. I have a Nate Mendel P bass which is a copy of his 70's precision. I love this instrument, but I wonder how authentic the tuners are as they aren't the ones with the really long stems. Firstly - am I right in thinking they should be? Secondly - if I were thinking of switching them out for some long stemmed ones, which should I choose where I wouldn't have to redrill? Gotoh seem to have some good ones. Thanks for your help!

16. Streamliner arrived this afternoon. I've only been able to use it at "domestic" volumes, but I really like how it sounds. Can't wait till band practice on Sunday when I can try it out at volume. And the build quality - so well put together! Feels really solid.
17. Super 12 is 4 ohms. I've been using mine with an Aguilar Tone Hammer 350 and it's been really good. That would definitely not have coped with a 2 ohm load.
18. I've just succumbed to the Streamliner 900 from GAK at a great price (£485 delivered, with a gig bag thrown in gratis). I wanted something more powerful as my new band is a wee bit noisier than my other band. Reviews here seem good, and I would probably have spent similar money on something second hand with similar power, so I'm keen to get my hands on the Streamliner and really open it up. What a bargain!
19. When I had one, my passive P Bass into the TB500 would definitely break up soon past nine. As Lozz said, by 2 you're into serious Lemmy territory. Would it be worth asking them to switch it for another?
20. I was thinking of sticking a tort pickup on mine. Or a white pearloid one. I was confused as to where to find one the right shape (and with the right screw holes, as there's a screw just below the pup, isn't there?). Where's the best place to get them from, and which type do I need?
