1.
Surely such a weighty bass would make you rather muscle bound? especially if you're highly strung Ahh, this could run and run - unless you cut a long story short and get it swapped out soon...
This communication is getting me down.....
 2. Hi, got any more piccies of the bass plz??
 3.
Any idea what you might be after in terms of an outright sale? (Sorry. You can't have my MM Stingray 5 Fretless!) Thanks in advance. Alex.
Don't know really Alex, but if I'd put it on Fleabay I'd ask bout £550-600, but would rather get a bass and cash though.....(it's ok not a MM fan so yer stingray's safe, have toured with one in past, sounded great, just didn't get on with the necks...probably coz I'm pants) lol
 4. Fortress Masterman 5 string 1999. This was recently sold, but a twist in the neck was discovered (no I didn't know about it before hand) and so I took it back without question. I took it to a local luthier today who confirmed the twist was evident (dip at B string, raised at G). I am not a tech, and have played this as it is since I've had it, so it was sold to me like it, I do not do my own set ups or adjustments, it just looked nice to me. (I know I'm going to get comments about this, but sorry I'm a lazy git who likes pretty guitars). I have contacted Guitar Works in Reading who have quoted me £300 for a replacment neck by Warwick, in exchange for the current one. The local guy has given me an estimate of £150 to sort it out. I could carry on living with it as the condition of the guitar is immaculate and I have played it as is up till now, but I can't look at it now I know the neck isn't right. So, story over, are there any Warwick lovers out there who want this fairly rare but flawed beast. Or someone who has the time, or money to spend on getting the neck perfect? I certainly don't have the money, or the know-how. Comes with a Warwick gig bag. I would prefer collection, so you can look at it. But will post if wanted. £350.
 5.
Well I did a set for a wedding yesterday and we pretty much learned the tunes on the day, so I think the last one was for Beating Heart Baby by Head Automatica.
BLIMEY!! You learned the set on the day of the gig......put's my one week's notice for one song into perspective.....put's bass down.....gets coat....opens door.....walks away........forgets why he's gone out........retraces steps............nope still can't remember.....picks bass up.......remembers he's learning a bass line for next sats gig..........damn!which one?
 6. Hysteria-Muse...............now got to get an overdrive pedal before next gig..bah! Fav bass line learned Le Freak-Chic (might be a different thread sorry)
 7.
I do remember Q-Tips and I do remember they did a lot of gigs. Credit to them. That said, it means nothing. How many people here can name one song The Q-Tips recorded? Who can name one member of The Q-Tips whose name isn't Paul Young? No cheating now! P
I use to go to see Q Tips at The Venue in victoria (greay place to pull "west end girls" by the way). They were a brilliant live act, Paul Young was a great frontman. I didn't like his solo stuff though and I notice he's back to fronting a band again (Cajun stuff I think). I was a huge Mark King fan, still an admirer, thought Level42 were brilliant muso's,ultra tight, excellent production, etc but thought their songs sucked in content tbh (very few would sound ok on an acoustic guitar, which kinda shows a song for what it is). But they cornered a market, got people dancing during a pretty crap time politically and got Joe public interested in bass guitar. And hey, MK and the band are famous and probably got a few quid, and here I am trying to learn Hysteria for the next function on saturday (not a Muse fan, but punters like it)....so I hats off to them, we're till talking about them 25 years on!
 8. OK, so I need to raise some cash so am offloading my Fortress Masterman 5 string. I've already got a corvette 5'er and have just bought status groove bass (been after one for about 3 years), so the masterman is a bit too similar to both. I don't want an outright sale, but need to raise bout £200 cash. So I'm after another 5 string + 200 smackers. If I sold this outright I'd look at about £500-600 if that helps in guesstimating value of bass. Would like a fretless 5 preferably, but will consider right bass for a defret. Hope this makes sense??? Pics to follow. But has a beautiful flame maple two piece body, ovangkol neck, wenge fingerboard, scale length: 34" (long scale), 24 brass frets, gold hardware and justanut 1. Active MEC MM pickup, active MEC 2-way electronics, natural oil finish. It's in excellent condition, looks beautiful. The pickup has two separate pickups inside, each of which can be panned between and has its own treble and bass control. Comes with warwick gig bag. So...you have my bass, I have yours and some cash. Until I upload some piccies, here's a link to the warwick site with spec on the original Fortress series. 13. Hughes & Kettner Edition Blue 15 watt guitar amp. 2 channels and reverb. Great tone for such a small beauty. £40 +pp Will take paypal, cash....or maybe bass FX unit..tell me what you've got.
 14. Forgot I had this, unused Warwick 3.3 ProFet head. Boxed, warranty from Bassmerchant July 09. Bought for back up, but didn't need it. Boxed new condition. Could post or deliver/meet up to 25 miles from North Dorset. I know they're "entry" level heads, but i think they have a great warm tone for a FET amp. Anyway might suit someone after a back up or first venture into "seperates".
