1. I fed Greg's tinkering/self build addiction with a maple neck, prompt payment, great comms and an all round cool guy to deal with, thanks! John
2. Westfield P bass, excellent condition. The output from the pickup is surprisingly beefy. This belongs to a student, and I used it for a weekend in a house band. Got some funny looks, but no comments about why a 6'4 18 stone bloke has a pink bass! Anyway, it sounded and played great....drummer loved its clarity. Would buy it myself, but don't really need it. Will have strings & comes in a hard case. £70 posted. Happy to meet up if you'd rather, Bath or Dorset area.
3. Bought a P bass from Joe. Perfect transaction, bass was better than described, great price, great comms, perfect gentleman, even arranged courier before money had hit his account! Thanks Joe, John
4. On eBay, make me an offer. Might entertain a fretless neck in a trade.
5. Paul bought some strings from me. Paid promptly, no worries. Thanks, John
6. Brian bought a bridge from me. Once again, paid uber fast and good comms. John
7. SOLD Used for one night. Fitted to P bass. Great sound, wonderful feel, just got too light a gauge. £10 posted, half price!
8. Ok, neck sold. Loaded body, without bridge available at £45 ono, try me.
9. Really must get this going. Will put the neck into the deal for £75 posted. That's a whole bass, without a bridge or case for £75.....really! The neck is detached, and that's how it will be posted. It's very simple to reattach, with resessed neck plate.
10. Parting out options bump Loaded body £50 posted Unloaded £40 SOLD High mass bridge with spiral saddles SOLD £10 P/J pup set £15
11. Body left, without bridge. Hand made (sometime in the 80's) with quality hardware I'm in north Dorset, but travel up to Bath regularly so could meet up nearby. Otherwise £45 posted
12.
...why does the thought of a secret bottle of whisky stashed away spring to mind? !!
It was the bands' portable bar. :-)
13.
Not seen anything quite like this with plush velvet lining inside the bass! I imagine its a very different instrument when amplified to when its not. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Upright-Travel-Bass-Project-Custom-Double-Parts-made-by-Bassix-UK-/171218468217?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Sting_Instruments&hash=item27dd6a7d79
Haha, that was made for me by Alan. It came with a mag pup that was fitted to end of the neck. Everything fitted inside the half body case. Looked very interesting on stage.
14.
It was Steve bbb, but it would seem he no longer works at that company. Perhaps he can point you in the right direction though.
Cheers, I'll ping him a PM
15. Does anyone know who it is on the forum that does vinyl wraps please? I've done a search, but no results. Thanks. John
16. So glad you brought yer big beasty to the bash Rev, I did last year and its great way for folk to have a go, and feel what its like to hold that big girl next to you.....ooooer!
17. Aaaargh! Didn't make it back from Devon in time. Hope you had a good'n.
18. Probably the bass that's as surprised me the most. Lovely neck, wide tonal range and inexpensive. GLWTS
19. This may be at the Dorset bash this Sunday if anyone fancies a try out?.....type bump
20.
....! Oh, and did I mention the initiation ceremony....?
Excellent, I'll bring the rubber gloves this time, far more hygienic than last year. :-)
21. Might be able to make it now. I'll be bringing a TE combo that's in the for sale section and a MIJ Ibanez Roadstar II RB924 deluxe and, if I can fit it in, a rather nice custom PJ made by a local-ish luthier. Hope to see you Sunday. John
