5.
Ive tried all different types of Velcro and even used cable ties but find these to be a god send, They look like a link of a chain, using the existing screws on the place of the bottom of your effect attach it then self tapper it to your board an the effect is going no ware ! , looks neat and doesn't leave Velcro glue on your pedal if you decide to move it. looks a bit like tis fitted : Cheep an effective, (less than £4 for enough of them for 9 effects) heres a link if you want to take a look http://www.johnnyshredfreak.com/store/inde...821abd39da9b6c1
nice one!! that`ll work!!!

 11.
Buy an old 24v Q-Tron. It's exactly what you've described. Maybe the newer 9v models are just as good, I don't know, I haven't tried one. But the old stainless-boxed Q-Tron is really squelchy, peaky and funky.
+1 i got an old 24volt one.. it practically drips funk.. stick an octave and fuzz in the fx loop ; )

 18.
My standard answer to the envelope filter question is to check out the Emma Electronic DiscumBOBulator. I've been using one for a while now and love it. Although I am interested in trying out the 3 Leaf Audio Groove Regulator.
+1 for the discumBOBulator, absolutely cracking little filter!! my q-tron beats it in `down` mode tho.. +1 in being interested in trying a 3leaf out too!
 19.
price drop to £30
bargain!!!!
 20.
I always say how much I love the Emma Electronic ReezaFRATzitz. I don't know of many bass players (or guitarists for that matter) who use one,but when I was looking for a distortion pedal that was my favourite one by a long way.I love it. It can go from nice smooth overdrive right through to completely filthy distortion. I tried the Fender Sub-Lime recently and that is a really good pedal too.
if its anything like the discumBOBulator for quality , it gets my vote! bass distortion is a big can of worms to open.. helluva a lot of contributing factors to take into consideration.. soundclips arent really the ideal way to choose (even though they serve a fantastic purpose) but then again i realise that taking your bass into a music store and checking out a multitude of pedals through an identical amp to yours isnt always possible (but would be a sure fire way to determine which one works for you!) theres always the option of finding a distortion pedal you like the sound of and then sticking it in a blender loop if you find that it loses low end... sorry if i have`nt been terribly helpful....... : /
