Great as the SAHB original is, this knocks it out of the ground. IMO anyway. Absolutely belting keyboard solo.

Just as well, because that is an impossible task. RW's Shipbuilding is quite possibly my favourite single piece of recorded music ever.

I'm now the lucky owner of a gorgeous Wal Mk3 5-string and a very nice '65 Fender Jazz. ...yeah right. In my dreams. My only purchases since March have been a few components for a J bass build and various electronic projects, and a Boss OC-2. I also bought @Zummerbass's lovely Carvin rig, but that was bought for a mate so it doesn't count.

It's one of those great combinations isn't it? Much like Ken Smith basses and Eden WT amps. Made for each other.

I bought the OC-2 (an old MIJ, as it turns out) and a Behringer Blues O/D pedal together for £35 from a local farcebook marketplace page... sold the Behringer on fleabay for £32...

The only bass-related things I've bought this year are parts for two builds -- my 2-tone J bass and Mammoth clone stomp. And there's the Boss OC-2 that ended up costing me £3. Oh, and my wonderful daughter gave me an Amazon voucher for my birthday, which I used to buy an excellent Hercules bass stand. That is by far my best bass purchase of 2020 for a number of reasons.
