2. Selling this on after getting it here on basschat not that long ago. due to time and finaicial restraints the project it was for is now on hold for the forseeable future so cant see the point hanging on to it. Anyway its in good nick, couple of minor scratches however nothing really visible without close inspection, bar a minor ding on the headstock - this is still not really noticable and certainly does not affect playability. Heres some photos i already had on the computer with the neck attached to a Squier VM jazz body. I can however send close ups/specifics on request. Not looking to profit on this; £250 collected from Rotherham/£260 posted with insurance Thanks, Rob
3. Selling on behalf of my brother. Its like this http://www.gak.co.uk/en/cb-drums-beginners...it-silver/31527 in a deep red/wine colour. Comes as the picture on the link but the crash cymbal has a crack in it so would need replacing (buts it is still useable for a beginner until a better one would be required) Please note stool not included. Hes after £75 ono and obviously due to size collection is going to be best - he lives near Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. Il put some photos on here when he emails them through soon. Cheers, Rob
4. Thanks everyone. At the minute the ones weve got lined up are medium (possibly getting into large)pubs/clubs, id say 100-150 people? Weve got a gig this Sunday and arranged to hire one just for this time as not in a direct position to purchase one until after the new year. its a medium sized pub, about 120 id say maximum on a busy sunday night. The system weve looked at is 700w with two speakers, and were planning on just running the vocals through it...so should this be ample for this one gig? Ive took heed of the comments you lot have replied with and when we buy were going to be looking at 1000w upwards. Cheers again, Rob

9. Hi all, Im considering buying the Ashdown Mag range as my new gigging rig as ive just got back into gigging after a short while off. ive read through the impedance thread but ive been left with a headache! If i was to get: http://www.soundslive.co.uk/product~name~A...ead~ID~3074.asp http://www.soundslive.co.uk/product~name~A...Cab~ID~1450.asp and http://www.soundslive.co.uk/product~name~A...10T~ID~2053.asp then would these be suited to each other - be safe to use and would it get the full power of each cab?? 11. Hi Just having a nosey through this thread. Im going to be starting a project soon and hope its not a daft question but are these pots: http://www.wdmusic.co.uk/category/Electron...AlphabeticalAsc suitable for both bass and guitar use??? i know about the ratings i.e 250K 500k etc; is this the only thing thats important? Its for a jazz bass project. Cheers, Rob
12. Im in the process of collecting parts for a new project and a bit stumped by the electrics! Ive seen this set up - http://www.thomann.de/gb/emg_jx_set.htm?si...f865aa3c01f317a Its a little unclear on the website at first and may appear that its just the p/ups for sale but just to the right theres a 'different perspectives' bit with photos of the pots etc. Would this be all i needed to get for the electrics? Also anyone with experience of EMG stuff feedback would be much appreciated!! Any advice very welcome. Many thanks, Rob
13. I sold mike a Hofner violin bass - he was very good to deal with, paid as i requested and even contributed to postage. Recommended to trade with, good honest bloke.
14.
i think he is the sexiest man alive!
Couldnt possibly comment on the above but i bought a headless Status S3000 off adledman - good communication, reassuring to deal with, bass delivered as and when agreed and wouldnt hesitate to deal with him again
15.
I'm looking forward to February, The Gaslight Anthem, Alkaline Trio and Rise Against on tour. Seen Rise Against and Trio plenty of times before, but still get excited at the thought of getting down the front and screaming my head off to every word. As for the Gaslight Anthem, The '59 Sound was the best album of 2008, and I've been waiting a long time to see them, would have seen them already if not for a gig clash!
Second that for Gaslight Anthem; saw them Hyde Park Calling supporting/with Springsteen, then 02 Birmingham, seeing them next week at Hammersmith Apollo then November in Nottingham! Excessive some may say but for me one of the best bands in existence!
16. Looking for £300 for this now; after a quick sale to fund another bass thats for sale on basschat Cheers, Rob
17. Hello, Selling my Hofner Violin due to not being able to get on with the shorter scale. I bought it as I really like the Violins, and thought I would be able to get on with the scale but unfortunately cant. Its only about 3 months old and still in great condition, no scratches or knocks, not gigged just used for home use. It is in sunburst. Comes with a Hofner gig bag (well padded) I am in Rotherham S.Yorkshire, can use courier if required, at buyers expense. Offers around £330 Thanks, Rob
