I thought the idea was to learn the cycle to make it easier to learn songs that use it, not the other way round? I'll give them a try though!

Has anybody got any good exercises to getting to grips with the cycle?

I use rounds on my fretless and the board is untreated, the bass is 20 years old and doesn't show any signs of wear yet. You may have trouble on untreated maple boards though or other soft woods. I'd say you can play fretless with a pick or whatever you want, fingerstyle is more traditional for it but theres no reason why you cant pick it!

Woah that is high, you got the tab?? Haha only messin, quick (probably quite daft) question though... If this did go between bass an treble clef, would a C in treble still be a C on the bass, as in it doesn't get transposed just a different octave??

Changed the strings and it almost disappeared, I'm changing the tuners this week and hoping that might make it resonate differently and eliminate it completely, hit an hope baby!!
