  2. Barefaced Super Twin T - £950. This is the version with the tweeter and HF control. Silver cloth grill and included cover which was an extra charge. It cost me £1,595 from Barefaced in August last year so grab a bargain. It's my dream cab but I need to face the fact that it is too big for the stages I play on as my band has a 16 piece horn section so stage space is at a premium. Treated with love and care so in excellent condition with no marks or blemishes. I no longer have the box so this will be collection only from Glasgow. I can meet buyers halfway within a reasonable distance. Potential buyers are welcome to demo in Glasgow. https://barefacedaudio.com/products/super-twin?variant=44166208946456 Specifications Dimensions - (H x W x D)74cm x 48cm x 34cm Weight - Cloth Grill (with tweeter)18kg / 40lbs Broadband Sensitivity 100dB Max Amp Power 1200W RMS Max Output~133dB Frequency Range30Hz-20kHz with tweeter Impedance 4 ohms
  3. GR Bass AT208 Cab with Cover - £700 Delivered in UK. Bought 4 weeks ago from Bass Direct where I paid £879 for the cab and £70 for the cover. In brand new condition with protective film and tags still attached. Selling as I've decided to change to a combo to make load-ins easier in light of parking issues in city centres. I still have the original box so shipping won't be a problem. I've owned several GR Bass cabs and they have all been fantastic. https://www.grbass.com/portfolio/at-208/ Power - 500W Weight - 6.9 Kg Dimensions - W29 x D31.5 x H57.5 CM Potential buyers are welcome to demo in Glasgow.

  4. Yes there is a noticeable difference in tone between the BP1 and BP1 Compact. I've owned both but found the low frequencies to be a bit too strong for my taste on the BP1 Compact. Either was they are both superb preamps. The Grand Slampegg is amazing and will never leave my board.
  5. Caveman Audio BP1 Preamp - £580 Delivered in UK. In immaculate condition and boxed. Purchased from Bass Buddah two months ago. This is a superb preamp and is the third one I have owned but I keep struggling with the amount of pedal board space it needs. This time I am determined to downsize to a smaller board. https://caveman-audio.com/bp1-bass-preamp/ Potential buyers are welcome to demo in Glasgow.
  6. Caveman Audio BC1 Compressor - £475 Delivered in UK. In immaculate condition and boxed. Purchased from Bass Direct two months ago. This is a superb compressor and is the second one I have owned but I keep struggling with the amount of pedal board space it needs. This time I am determined to downsize to a smaller board. Potential buyers are welcome to demo in Glasgow. https://caveman-audio.com/bc1-bass-compressor/
  7. Finally they have addressed the Sire headstock controversy! 😂
  8. Sid purchased a pedal from me and paid instantly. We also managed to have a nice chat about compressors. Top guy. Thanks John
  9. Hi Steve. I will send you a private message to discuss details.
  10. Ha. Just wait a few months and I’ll probably have another up for sale at the rate I go through compressors. 😂😂
  11. Origin Effects Cali76 Bass Compressor - £250 Delivered in UK. In new condition with box. Purchased from guitarguitar 5 months ago. I have a bit of a compressor obsession and keep going back and forward between various models. I've recently gone back to my Keeley Compressor pro as I prefer its transparency so no longer have a place for the Cali76 on my board. Potential buyers are welcome to demo in Glasgow.
  12. Well spotted. I sometimes run four compressors when we play Sledgehammer. For most other songs I just use the Caveman BC1.
  13. First rehearsal with the Grand Slampegg tonight. It’s sounding great at volume.
  14. The replacement valve arrived today and it working well and seems to have resolved the noise issue. As a bonus I managed to obtain a NOS vintage Jan Tung Sol Black Glass valve which sounds wonderful. I exchanged a few emails with Nathan of Sushibox and he did offer to refund me the cost of a replacement valve but I told him not to bother as I would have started tube rolling sooner or later anyway. He did say he is planning to move from Sovtek to JJ valves in future. I had initially bought the Grand Slampegg with the intention of using it on a few songs I thought would benefit from a vintage tone but, after playing it for a while, I think it's going to be an always on pedal.
  15. I did try that. I also tested with both a CIOKS with a CRUX and Truetone power supplies with the same result. I just need to be patient and wait for the world to get back to work in the New Year.
  16. Unfortunately it's faulty so I haven't been able to play with it. It does pass audio but there's a loud background rumbling and buzzing sound. I will wait a few days until the holidays are over and email Nathan. My guess is the valve is bad and I won't be able to order a new one until the shops open again on 2nd January.
  17. It finally arrived this morning making a great Xmas present from me to me. I will give my thoughts once I have time to play with it.
  18. It's unusual. I've bought several things from the US and they generally clear through customs very quickly. I'm hoping it will finally arrive next week in time to be a nice Xmas present to myself.
  19. Sadly not yet as it's been stuck in UK customs since November 22nd.
  20. Custom made flight case for Helix Floor. £90 delivered in UK. Absolutely brand new and unused. I ordered a custom case built by https://www.ikarcases.pl/en/ but by the time it finally arrived I had decided to sell my Helix Floor. It is beautifully constructed with a fold-down flap at the rear to allow the Helix Floor to remain in the case while in use. It cost me 250 Euros so grab a bargain. Collection in person welcome in Glasgow. Helix not included! 😀
  21. Nige bought my Shure GLXD16+. Great comms and paid immediately. The friendly chat was an added bonus.
  22. Shure GLXD16+ Wireless System - £350 Delivered in UK. This is the new model with an input jack and other improvements. Purchased in May this year and used so little I haven't had to recharge the transmitter yet. Boxed with all accessories plus a NeoTech pouch and a Designacable cable with right angle jack. Bought as an indulgence but only used twice as I generally play on tiny stages where there in no point in going wireless. Potential buyers are welcome to try out in person in Glasgow. Full details here: https://www.shure.com/en-GB/products/wireless-systems/glx-d_plus/glxd16p?variant=GLXD16%2BUK-Z4
  23. Well after chatting with Nathan of Sushi Box I have gone ahead and ordered one. I will be able to make do with using the bypass toggle switch when needed.
