Warwick Corvette $$ Is this gold hardware authentic??TRadford replied to Flex's topic in Bass Guitars Well my bastardized Aria/Warwick has gold hardware and its all stamped with the W and Germany. The one piece bridge has Warwick stamped on the top too, but Im guessing this bass will have the 2 peice.
What could I plug my bass into that would link up with my computer and not cause any possible speaker harm?
Anything listed above as long as you are sensible with the volume and dont expect amazing sound.

Whats it called? I use a Edirol UA-25 that I plug the bass into and then that plugs into the computer via USB. I then output using the external computer speakers. Fine for just quiet practice. This way I can also record and use computer generated effects. If you want something that makes sound without a speaker and is easy to carry around, you can buy an effects pedal like the ME-20B. You dont need an amp as it has its own preamp, so you just plug your bass in and plug headphones in. It works off batteries or mains. Of course you can also output to an amp and use all the effects.
I'm not particularly... tall or long-armed/handed. I guess I'd better stick with the main 3 I was considering then. I think I'll only be able to feel the BB414 and the RBX374, but not the SR300. Anyone got any personal favourites from the 3? But the thing is, I have no idea how to play anything on the bass so I don't really want to plug anything in at a store and hear it properly cause I'll look like a bit of a tard.
Everyone has to start somewhere. I wouldnt worry about what other people think when you are trying a bass. Just hit strings and frets, see what noise comes out. Maybe read a few tabs before you go of easy songs to give you something to try.

He uses Fernades and Ibanez. Also has a Warwick signature and a Zon Signature model. Not sure which one is in the pic, looks a bit Ibanez-y to me. His Fernades is a custom model, not available in shops. Although You could probably order one similar.

I have the perfect 10. Its a good amp, although would struggle in a band environment. Fine for bedroom practice though.

Cool, make sure to post some pictures up when you get it!

If YOU, like the look sound and feel, then thats all that matters. As been said many times, you will get more for your money buying second hand on here, but if thats not what you want to do, then get the bass that feels right for you.

When I learn to play without shame, yes! Ill see what I can do. Dont expect much though.

Some quick and dirty pics of my new toy. A bastard child of a Warwick and an Aria Pro II Avante NT. I'll get some better pics once I have a guitar stand and its not gloomy outside. A few minor issues like fret buzz and dodgy jack input, but nothing drastic as of yet. If you squint, it could be a Corvette.. Neck through with Warwick/MEC active jazz pickups. Smoooth Aria Avante Warwick gold knobs

I've just bought a new one too. Misses doesnt know yet. She will when a big box arrives at our work office though.

Rubbish... He is/was just having a kid too. Too young for anyone to go.

I bought my first ever elec drum kit from Thomann. I was really nervous about spending that much with an overseas company. After a week, the kit turned up.. Great I thought. After another week, I was just checking my bank statement online and noticed that the money for the kit still haddnt come out. This went on for 6 months!!! So not only did they send the kit out before I had even paid for it, They wouldnt take the payment everytime I tried to pay for it. They wouldnt accept credit cards or something for first time buyers, but I had no other way to pay at that time. Was most odd.

Warwick completely moving production to Korea?TRadford replied to sockdeluxe_mikey's topic in Bass Guitars
A MIM or CIJ Fender is still a Fender though, isn't it? Seem to remember Fender also making certain series (Lite Ash?) in Korea with an authentic F-Badge.
True, but then with that, you have the USA model to be the next level up or the top of the line. If Warwick move all production, then there will not another level up, I.E there wont be a German Warick to the USA Fender... If that makes sense?

Warwick completely moving production to Korea?TRadford replied to sockdeluxe_mikey's topic in Bass Guitars Surely if they do that, it would make the new 2010 model Rockbasses obsolete? The only concernable difference between the new rockbasses that arent released here yet, and the German ones are that they arent made in Germany. If German basses arent made in Germany anymore, surely they will just be Rockbasses.
