9.
Roto Nickel Rounds, once they`ve lost their initial newness are just like this. That`s why I used them for the past year or so. They also, once they`ve lost that initial newness, retain the rest of the sound for a long time.
Thanks Lozz , I'll give the Rotos a try Cheers Everybody , thanks for the input . All makes are duly noted for future reference !
 10.
My thoughts exactly!!
Ha yeah ! The bass has Flats on at the moment but I'm thinking about about using rounds . I want as warm a sound as possible but with a bit of crunch , but minimal finger on string noise . The sound I hear in my head is James Jamerson crossed with JJ Burnel ( Nice'n'Sleazy ) Warm and Crunchy !!!! I guess a lot of it is down to whichever Amp\Rig is being used . I only have a MB 150 combo at the moment , so that'll have to do
 11. Thanks everybody So many strings , so little cash …. I'm after a warm , deep sound , without too much zing …….
 12. Can anyone recommend a set of medium gauge , dark sounding , not going to chew up my lovely rosewood board , not too bright rounds please ? That's assuming such things exist ….
 13. Nice bit of kit , in excellent condition and comes with adaptor and instruction booklet , not original box . Price includes postage No trades , just sale please , Thanks Mike
Crikey I remember watching this ! Just brilliant .. I loved She's Got Claws ( Gary Numan ) too , mainly for Mick's contribution . He was also the main reason for my liking Japan , superb stuff .
 18.
very worth a little modding. My Sunn P-Bass is still my number one go to bass. Probably just cos I've had it so long, but they are very playable with a little fettling.
Thanks Dave , thats good to know . It's not in bad nick really , pups sound ok and the neck is fine , I'll just drop one of Señor kiOgons wiring doodahs in at some point and get the Doc to make me a new pick guard and I'll be riffing away in no time
