  2. Hi all. I bought a 7 Pro about 3 years ago and love the tone. The issue is, I’ve had endless problems with it and am now sick of it. In 2018 after continued cutting out I sent it to surrey Amps who fixed it for £190. Then it began doing the same thing a year later, in 2019. I sent it back to them and they said it was a different problem and charged me another £180 to fix it. Now, roughly 7 months later it’s started cutting out again! What do I do? Spend another £200 on an amp that’s gonna crap out every year? I think Ampeg is now owned by Wetherspoons so probably won’t get much sense from them. I’m really fed up and at a loss of what to do. Send back to Surrey amps again, sell it for spare or repair it try to contact Ampeg? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!
  3. Hi mate. The person I bought it from or Ampeg? Neither I’m afraid!

  5. Well hello there!! Good to see you on the basschat scene mate!!
  6. It’s not so much volume mate. They just sounded too weak and I found myself needing to dig in too much. I like a soft touch but high output.
  7. Just to update. Changed them for SD Quarter Pounders and it’s definitely the right decision for me. Gives me that thump and high response I love. Gigged then last night and they were amazing. Horses for courses I guess!!
  8. They are lovely pickups mate but they don't suit the heavy rock band I play in.
  9. Hi all. I love this bass but the pickups aren't hot enough for my liking so I'm hoping to change them for some Seymour Duncan ones. Will this be an issue due to the stacked knob controls? Obviously most jazzes are volume, volume, tone and this one isn't. Just hoping it would be an easy swap. Thanks in advance for any help or advice, Dave.
  10. Les Paul Junior mate. Single coils, no keys.
  11. Hi folks. I have a Flea Jazz bass that I absolutely love. The only issue is, when playing high up the fretboard, the notes don’t cut through as much as my P Bass. I’m talking above 12th fret. When played solo, all the notes seem to jump out perfectly, but it’s when playing in a band situation that this happens. Any tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Dave.

  14. Yes mate. It’s heavy. Not for you if you’re looking for lightweight!! It sounds thunderous though!!
  15. A glorious mini fridge in perfect working order that comes with Roqsolid cover. Shows some signs of wear and is USA made. 4 ohms cab that is thunderous and has an amazing tone but is just not getting used anymore. Has been in safe storage for a while. South Wales area but willing to courier if you arranged it. Priced to sell. Cheers, Dave.
  16. A mini fridge that is in perfect working order. Is in good condition but shows signs of wear. This cab will fill most venues without PA support and handle any amp you throw at it. Is USA made and comes with a fitted Roqsolid cover. Collection from Barry in South Wales.
  17. Used but in excellent working order. Few scrapes and scuffs but will do a great job at keeping your gear safe. Will post at cost. I have a box for it.
  18. I'd swap you for my Ampeg one if it didn't have a stitched together bin bag for a cover!!!!!!
  19. If anyone wants one without a cover, I’ll happily buy it for mine and split the cost.
  20. Hi all. The mains transient has gone and I've been quoted £187 (including delivery) for full repair and test. The amp is at Surrey Amp Hospital now where they are waiting for the go ahead to complete the repair. As I already have two amps, I've decided to let her go. So, if you want an SVT 7 pro in full working order, delivered to your door for £337, hit me up. Or for the advertised price (plus delivery charge) if you can fix it yourself. Aside from this issue, the amp is in fantastic condition and working order, if this makes sense!! Thanks, Dave.

  23. Hi mate. I'd rather sell locally at the moment but I'll see how things pan out. Cheers, Dave.
