2. when i was a teenager my rig was a marshall 8x10 ashdown pre crown power and aphex rack comp, all thanks to selling my usa jazz deluxe which was lush but sacrifices must be made some times. i'll have to try and dig some pics up if i have any. p.s i'm now only 22.
3. sweeeeet! esp the asat
4. sending me some little bits i needed. awsome dude.
5. i have an 86/87 mij p with badd ass 2 and sd bassline qp in it. its the best fender i've had. if i was you i'd go for an 80's one.
6. this is defs my fav stu hamm bass i've seen esp with the shell plate and painted headstock. if i was playing more techy stuff etc i'd want this beauty.
7.
volume pot is on full and out of the way!
where did you get the plug for the volume pot hole?
8.
I thought the Myung was a single pickup?
thats the jm2
9.
Good looking axe! Slightly OT...why do some think that Basslines is some sort of second string to SD? Basslines IS SD. Yiou cannot buy, for example, a quarter-pound pickup that doesn't have Basslines on it. That is something I, personally, find irritating, but it's not a different brand
i dunno. i mainly type sd because im too lazy to type basslines. great pickup. the p sounds awsome with my sunn
10. coventry tonight. but i have to use someones combo because there's no bass cab provided
11. fair comment. im not much of a modern bassist but i love the look of it because its so beefy looking compared to the bent bit of tin fender stick on. but yea it aint traditional really
12.
Youve stuck a bedsheet to the back of your bass and you call that a "mod"??? Joshin wiv ya matey............However, I am not a fan of Badass' on Ps, Im afraid. Bassline pickups?????
the bed sheet makes it play smoother. yea SD 1/4lber. how come you dont like the badass? i love the look and the sound. i have endless sustain off it.
13. i replaced mine because fender make crap pickups
14. dave ddf has what you need for newport centre. you sure as hell need way way more than a 5K rig for that.
15. male. 4 strings. i'm a balls out rock n roll/metal bassist. i sling my bass low. i play for the song, not me. if some i play doesnt work in the song no matter how much i like it i won't use it. i play in a melodic death metal band and a more 90's influenced melodic band in the styles of jimmy eat world, far, kerbdog etc. i will only buy basses by fender, fender, fender, musicman, g+l and lakland. valves and an 8x10 are the way for me. \m/
16. just priced how much this will cost me to build with parts from guitarpartsresource.com. about £430. if i can find the funds i may have my own little build diary thread.
17. i'd say make the body bigger to fit with the horns issue. more wood for sustain. bigger bodied bass are cool and rock n roll which is where i see this shape being played. im not a fan of gold hardware and i dont like the scratchplate but i cant think of anything better. i do like the body shape. also i think a 2 a side tuner formation would be better.
