  1. +1 for the ZS10's @ped

I bought them as back up for my UE Triple-Fi 10 IEMS, and IMO they are nothing short of amazing for the price.

I'd seen @EBS_freaks mentioning of the ZS10's on here and bought mine from Amazon, it included two years insurance for them too, IIRC around £10 which included damage - so for £40 odd they were well worth the money IMO.

    More detail would help...

    Anything specific Tom?

High mass bridge, lightweight tuners, maple neck/fingerboard, brass vol/tone knobs, Paulownia bodywood, I seem to recall the pickup was branded but can't remember what. All plays and sounds well.

Anything else I've missed just shout up 👍🏼 great bass for a young 'un as it's so lightweight, and equally for anyone struggling with heavier bass weight in general.

This has been in a case behind a settee unused for years so time to let go.

I'll weigh it when I get chance 😉

The force is not with me John. I shall have to stay with my Sandberg or my trusty old Geddy Jazz.

Thanks again and was good meeting you today. Great when a transaction works for both parties involve. Just sorry we were 2.5 hrs apart but you're retired now and have plenty of free time. :laugh1:

    All the best

    Dave

7 hour total round trip with craic, coffee, traffic, weather and bog stops Dave 😳😂😂

Thank you guys. I'm watching it now. Currently at £160 and i've just today sold my DMX lighting rig so could be good to go. Not much in these basses so an easy fix i reckon.

Appreciate the heads upas i had given up on finding one that fitted my needs.

    Dave

So, still resisting the starshaped Warwick then Dave...🙄😲😆😆😆

Think TalkTalk's bassist had the fretless version of that Kramer, tasty 😉👌🏼

  5. Completed a great buying experience with Dave today, culminating in a round trip to beautiful Biggar, his home in South Lanarkshire.

Communication prior to travelling was fantastic, a 40 minute phone call, several texts, including comprehensive photographs, written details, emails, measurements and even more photographs. Detailed route on how to find him - just in case the satnav played up 😆 - he pulled out all the stops to reassure me the trip was going to be worthwhile. It was 😉

Brilliant craic when we got there, he had even sanitised every flightcase  prior to our arrival. Brilliant 😊

Deal done at a safe distance with an absolute gent, deal with complete confidence, this guy is a first class Basschat seller and a credit to the BC community 👌🏼

Resist the starshaped Warwick Dave! 😂😂😂

  6. Thought I'd update this thread with some visible pics as the @Clarky ones appear to have gone.

Interesting to see this was once Kev Hoppers bass, presumably he commissioned it.

I love it, it's a beautifully crafted bass with Nordstrand pups encased in ebony surrounds with matching ramp and knobs and it to my ears, sounds great. One of my mates calls it my Salvador Dali bass  :)
