1. so for those of you who have been up front about their business usage who do you use? Don't most insurers refuse to cover musicians/entertainers?
 2. I always struggle with NYE pricing. Last year we played a casino in Leeds for £1700 (we're a 6 piece) got offered it again in Feb for the same money but it was a bit of a sh*t gig so we turned it down. Now a bar we gig at regularly are asking for a NYE quote. We get paid £350 for a fri night gig normally - we treat bar gigs as free advertising - but as its NYE we're going to have to charge our 'proper' rate, not sure if they're going to go for it though. And I'd rather have a gig than not have one.
 3.
Small world! This is the first bass I ever bought - it'd be great to have it back! I'll see if I can get some funds together Any trades? Haven't got a Sandberg I'm afraid.
Small Bass world! If you can get the funds it's yours. I'm afraid I've got my mind set on a sandberg so unless you've got one cash is king!
 4. Hey, sorry I was at a gig last night so I missed this. Just checked the serial and it's the same one! Let me know if you want it back :-)
 5. Yeah I stand on the snare side, this is also next to the guitarist - the stupid keyboard player takes up all of the other side! but it does mean I have a good view of everybody as 'band dad' as we call it. But I tend to creep into the middle in front of the kick drum as I often dance with the singers when they're not singing, and it means I'm less likely to hit the guitarist in the head with my head!
 6. This Topic seems to have had a bit of a revival!
No one ever misses a slice from a cut loaf. Cool website though.
Thanks
'Funky music for the soul' Then I look down the 'favourite songs' list and I see that perennial soul classic that is... All Right Now Seriously, it looks a good layout on the whole. I don't know if it has been changed since some of the original comments came out but when I looked the musicians order now has singers at the top which is as it should be. For the time being the way that the focus can be shifted on to the twins in the photos is just re order how those band shots come around so that the one of the girls always comes up first. They are a big selling point really.
Yeah it has had a bit of a redesign since then, we're also thinking of having a complete overhaul to add some video and live shots too. You're right they're not all funk and soul, but somehow when we play them they are we also play Foo Fighters Times Like These which is really fun to do in between some wedding classics!
Really nice looking website, and fits the purpose well... Interestingly I ended up also clicking on another bands website today, and the content of the FAQ seems almost identical! Coincedence? http://www.phonicsea.../faq/4558313339 You decide lol.
Interestingly enough I was going to mention this to Jake next time I see him At least I had the decency to steal bits from several websites! Thanks for the comments guys, if anybody wants a website designing PM me and I'll send you our guys details. Thanks Pete
 7. The thing I always wonder about is 2nd hand gear. All of my basses are 2nd hand and so is my amp, the only thing I've bought new is my cab and leads and pedals. I always wonder how you prove you owned the stuff to insurance companies if you don't have a receipt?
 8.
It seems to do the job pretty well! I'm surprised how well it copes with being right up close to the PA speakers!
Yeah it does a great job, it's really useful for rehearsals too. Once we've got a new song to where we need it to be we record it, then practice at home to the recording and gig the song at the next gig.
 9. Hi, we use a Q3 to record rehearsals and gigs. It's easy to use and you could get a small tripod to hold it steady. To give you an idea these videos were recorded with it: http://youtu.be/jrKSa1ntSBA http://youtu.be/WFJNAY_YWoI So I think it would do the job nicely. The other option is an interface and webcam, you'd then have to sync the audio and video.
 10.
PM'd
Not got a PM from you?
 11.
Mine's still about .. Would save you a small fortune on a new one!!
The blackburst? I thought you'd done a deal? Right, im very tempted
 12.
I'm the same.
cheers guys, things are slow at the moment but I'm not in a rush. I've raised enough cash for a new sandberg but I'm biding my time waiting for 'the' one.
 13. PS will Trade for a Sandberg, but I'm being a bit fussy about colours try me though
 14. Bump - make me an offer, I won't be offended. It's going on ebay soon if it doesn't sell here!
 15. Bump make me on offer, it's going on ebay next week if it doesn't sell here. Try Me, you never know!
 16.
Hmm.. Tempting.. Maple neck and it would be a no brainier for me.. Not too sure Mr Funk..
I understand, I'm raising some cash for a 'berg anyway. If this is still around when I have the dough I'll get in touch
 17.
I thought you might - I'd just clocked your ad :-)
So what do you think?
