Much better kebabing last night. Super donner and chips from Pizza Corner in Farnworth, only the bands second visit but won't be the last.
An extra 50 quid at the end of the night, booked for a gay wedding next April, booked for new years eve and another words fail me moment, with video.
Regular readers will remember the girls in their outfits on top of the trailer from their previous pub 500 yards up the road.

Absolute inauspicious start to this years Kebab hunt. Iffy gig, falling into the gear punters, arguing with p*iss ed's, no kebab and a 11.30am
photo shot this morning in the snow.
Please don't let this be how my gigging year is going to pan out.

Attended audition, passed audition. Didn't mention it in case I didnt get it! Very chuffed to get this one!

Hoping you are well. Missing the Kebablog.
I'm making do but it's not nearly as satisfying reading about quinoa flatbread butties served with avocado fries as it is hearing of the apres gig foodie scene in the North Midlands.
Please come back?

Singer has pneumonia. Myself the guitarist and a dep drummer had to improvise two 45 minute sets tonight. We have gigs on Sat and Sun too. It's going to be an interesting weekend.....

Can we have more emoticons, please? There aren't enough to represent the gamut of emotions one feels during a typical BassChat day! Or are there more I don't know about? Where are they?

Following the example of our venerable colleague Les, I frequented a very nice purveyor of quality kebabs post-gig last night in Kingston-Upon-Thames. By the time we got there (about 1am) they had sold out of lamb donner, so I had a chicken donner instead. A little greasy, but quite palatable. Our visit all went without incident, but I found out this morning that after I left, the guitarist's missus was involved in an altercation with a bunch of lairly, drug-fuelled, loud-mouthed clubbers, who took exception to her simply because she's Asian. She's a fiesty lass, so she stood her ground, but although there were no physical injuries, she got pushed around and called some things that I won't repeat here. I hope (perhaps in vain) that when the perpetrators woke up this morning they felt thoroughly ashamed of themselves. A sad end to an otherwise lovely evening.

First outdoor gig! I was expecting a numb right hand to give me trouble, but it never occurred to me how much I rely on the sense of touch in the left hand to judge distances between frets. Spent a lot of time looking at the fretboard!

I make wiring looms to order, top quality, solderless fitting, PM me for details.

Took no chances with the apres gig feasting after a gig full of confederate flags (not ours) where people paid far to much money to see us. We dived into the local McDonalds which was as expected, though the box of 20 chicken nuggets the singer and I had between us in addition to our burger meals was probably a bit excessive but we did miss the pie and peas supper at the gig. Don't think we've ever had people line dancing to us before either.
