1. Hiscox are tremendous for customer service; their factory is actually quite near to where my old man lives, and when I had a parlour acoustic that 'nearly but not quite' fit into one of their cases they re-padded it for me on the spot for no charge. Chucked the guy who did it a couple of beers, natch, but it's the fact that they just do it with no quibbles, question or qualms that means that I'll be using Hiscox for pretty much every instrument I need a case for. Oh, they make really good instrument cases, too
2. Cab specs here: http://www.marshalla.../dbs/dbs_02.asp 400W RMS @ 8 ohms, rear-ported, proper birch-ply construction; I THINK the tweeter's blown but it still sounds great (might look into replacing the tweeter if no-one wants the cab right away as it's only a Motorola thing), had it's share of gigging over the last twenty years-ish so it's not perfect cosmetically but by no means battered and still solid as hell! Like this, only without the fetching castors ( ) - shall get actual pics tonight! And a flightcase wot fits it beautifully, made by Castle Cases in Tamworth - I'll clean off the spray-paint on it, again road-worn but still perfectly functional, internal dims W 60cm x D 39cm x H 660cm (a little higher than the cab, so could fit one of those fancy new-fangled mini heads on top of it too - will also take many Ashdown bass combos or a Peavey Classic 4x10 guitar cab (from experience)). 'Built-up' construction, so you can use the lid of the flightcase to stand the cab/amp on too. Thinking £60 for the cab (£70 if I repair the tweeter before it goes) and £50 for the flightcase, or £100 both together collected from south Birmingham (or may meet up within reason). Give me a shout for more details!
3.
stagg warlock copy that belonged to a friend. Had a guitar sized body, had the worst neck dive, sky high action and crap electronics
Oooohhhh, forgot about that, I had one of those as a spare; smashed the f*ck out of it after one gig because it wouldn't hold its tuning. There's a reason it only cost me fifty quid.
4. Sorry tayste, I can't get into PMs via mobile interweb at the minute - sold via email, couldn't let you know!
5. Right, MUST be on eBay Sunday as I've bought something with the intention of selling it on but don't think I can do it - last call for takers here?
6.
And: Skunk Anansie - Stoosh
Oh, Skunk Anansie - great bass playing, wish the band I'm wish at the minute allowed me to go a bit Cass!
7. MIC Squier Bronco. Horrible, tacky, soulless thing with a hummy, weedy pickup, a practically unfinished neck and a flat-out refusal to stay in tune. My school music room had the ubiquitous Encore as well; I've played worse, but not very many.
8. Sold! Piccies: Looking for £100, or a Mackie Onyx Satellite with a bit of cash my way - let me know!
9. Oh, buggerit; forgot about this, and now need to eBay! Quick bump before I do (also to remind me to actually list it later...)

11.
My first ever bass was a vintage musicman copy and after owning pretty much every bass under the sun since, I still wish I'd kept it
Shame I can't use that as my endorsee quote, I've been struggling to come up with a non-cheesy one for hours
12. http://www.jhs.co.uk/theblacklistsaints.html Now got to restrain myself from recommending Vintage in every single 'What bass should I buy' thread
13.
I really feel it could do with a good home, but they're just intensely unpopular - you can't give them away at the moment!
Beg to differ
14. Couple of cheapies that never get played - they're both pretty thrashed and autographed though, so more sentimental / display pieces. Ibanez (probably) Gibson Grabber copy, signed by Mani, and a Tanglewood TB12 semi-acoustic (with the back split and re-glued multiple times), signed by Duff McKagan. Couldn't get rid of 'em.
15.
I have one! Had for around 5 years now, didn't realise they were still being made?
They're not, I'd be looking secondhand; if it'll do the couple of things I'm not sure about though should suit me perfectly!
What do you want to know?
Right, one I THINK I've found out the answer to and the other I've no idea - will the whole thing (i.e. base unit and 'pod') work as a simple mixer without anything connected to the Firewire, and (SUB-question!) will the base station still work as a basic mixer without the pod in it?
My base unit seems to have died, occasionally it would fire into life if I left it plugged in long enough, but the removable part still works fine!
So I guess you might not be able to check out my queries, but I appreciate the offer just looking at one as I use my recording rig as my home entertainment setup too, but as the other half's now moved in with me I'd quite like to be able to take my laptop and the 'pod' bit into the bedroom for noodling and still leave her with a functional music / DVD system in the living room. Cheers man!
16. Thinking about getting one as a downgrade to my current recording rig to make it a bit more portable but I've got a few questions which I can't find the answers to from Googling; is anyone here using one who wouldn't mind me picking their brains? Ta!
17. The one I bought turned out to be a winner (to the extend that I'm now a Vintage endorsee ) so if you're ever down Birmingham way I'd take it off your hands to use as a spare...shall see if I've got anyone coming from your way for the Birmingham Guitar Show, actually.
18. Night of the Living Thread - It Won't Stay Dead!!!!!
19.
In short: The majority of 'musicians' are seriously deluded timewasters, tyre-kickers, out-and-out silly tossers and apostrophe abuser's.
Fantastic
20. Wow, a lot more 12" users here than I'd expected! Wonder if there'd have been the same kind of distribution 10 or 15 years ago ('pun' intended)? Anyway, 2 x 1 x 15" here (well, currently 4x10" + 1x15", but I'm swapping out the 410), if my trousers were loose enough they'd flap.
