1. Why rehash an iconic Fender design, then compromise it with that bridge and headstock... Lakland: 'Get some Nuts'
 2.
By the way, when looking at EUBs, I came across this stormer. Obviously someone wasn't concentrating when they named it: Unfortunately named bass
What were they thinking..?
 3. That is just beautiful... sadly I'm too incompetent to play an unlined neck!
 4.
Bass players might get a bad name...
Perish the thought
 5.
...for me there's no point in having an expensive bass if you're going to completely wipe it's natural tone out with effects,
Totally agree! The same goes for guitars; today our guitarist plugged a '76 Les Paul into a valve Marshall via a cheap Zoom effects thing... I soon had that off him
 6. My Ibanez SR1000 neck thru is a beautiful bass... It's just that it seems a little too polite at times
 7.
...I think our community goes beyond the "you pays your money and takes your choice" attitude...
I'd certainly hope so...

 9. Ashdown ABM ABM C115-500 EVO II £349-00 collected from Nottingham. 1 x 15 Blue Line bass driver, 575W Head. Home use, and a few rehearsals & (very) small gigs only. Owned by me from new. Only fault is the bulb behind the VU meter has gone, an easy fix. This is a superb bass combo, even better with an extension cab for full power!
 10. Ending at 16-55hrs today (Thurs). Item number : 280451409862 £199 - no Bids - Aaaaaaaargh!!!
 11.
Lemmy - "Stay Clean" from Motorheads "Overkill" album.
+1 to that, true grit...
 12. I bought this here on Basschat... it's been great but I need to sell it to buy something else (GAS). It's just as it was when I bought it; perfect except for one ding on the front, just below the P pup. It's strung with Status ground wounds, it has dots on the side & on the fretboard on the fretlines. So as an 'unlined neck' it's pretty easy to play fairly accurately. It has a great sound & build quality. It comes with a gig bag, so collection would be preferred. I have a Gator hard case at extra cost... I'm asking £250.
 13. Does anyone have any Offers on this..? Otherwise I think the owner will eBay it! If you PM me I'll pass the info. on
 14. Any interest..? Hopefully someone'll at least PM me Any comments appreciated
 15.
Woofly Tone
That's the best way I can describe it... Nothing else sounds like it really!
 16. This belongs to a mate of mine, and if I had the cash I'd buy it for myself... He was going to eBay it (mad fool!), but I said I'd put it up here first. Anyway, it's 1973, comes in an original Gibson hardcase, has the bridge cover (and even a mute) over a 2 point bridge. It's got a mahogany body and maple neck, 21 frets, and is in remarkably good condition... There are a couple of tiny dings and one flake of lacquer missing from the back of the neck (see photo). It has that amazing woofly tone, great sustain and it plays beautifully. Any questions just ask! I can PM the serial number to interested parties. It's £900 + collection from Nottingham, or send a Courier. Some good Info. here:- EBO

 21.
These are spectacular instruments, build quality is tremendous and they sound amazing!
Agreed! I just wish my playing could do it justice
