1. Like new condition. More info, including dimensions, here: http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/en/71520 Please note that as can be seen from my pics, you CAN fit a power amp should you wish to do so, provided it's not one of the massive ones (eg QSC RMX). £20, collection only from London SW1 (near Victoria station). I don't think it would be economical to ship. Any questions, you know what to do.
 2.
this is by all accounts a souped up version of the Alembic.
Quite right. I prefer the Kern to the Alembic (at least the F1-X) as it is in my opinion more versatile. Cheers r5
 3. Due to a recent acquisition I'm going to be selling my Kern. These preamps are not made anymore and are quite hard to find. Harder still is finding one that works on 240V. I had mine professionally converted to European voltage (mine does not use an external transformer -- it is the last version they produced). It is extremely solid, and is well-known for its ability to go from fat and/or overdriven to crisp and clear. The tonal balance control is basically the only control you need once you're happy with the B/M/T settings. It has a Jensen transformer which makes it very good for recording. Some information is available here and here. A Bass Player review is available here. And reviews from users here. £600 plus actual shipping costs, or pickup from London SW1. Please pm me with any questions.
 4. 1. It is cheaper in the long run to sell a bass/amp you're not happy with than to modify it, unless you are absolutely, positively certain that you know what you're doing. 2. You will think you know what you're doing long before you actually do.
 5. Hi there, sorry, no swaps -- unless you have a squareneck National baritone, that is!
 6. You have a point in that it's hard to find -- however, in the FAQ section you will find this:
Thomann Cyberstore FAQ List How Can I pay? ...blather blather blather... Credit card: When ordering you state your type of credit card (we accept Visa, American Express, Eurocard, Mastercard, Barclaycard and Diners) and we debit the sum from your credit card account for the available goods at the date of shipping. When paying by credit card please always use our Secure Server which is transferring encoded data. If the Server does not work with your browser or company network please send us a short note and we will call you back for the credit card details. Please note that our invoices will be in Euros and reflect the exchange rate of the day at www.oanda.com. Your credit card company may be giving you a slighly unfavourable exchange rate, and sometimes UK card companies make a small commission charge from Pound to Euro conversions. Please check with your card company if in doubt. With larger sums it may be much more cost effective to use a bank transfer.
7. I don't think one can really blame Thomann about this. They're trying to provide a service by displaying prices in GPB and cannot be responsible for the thieving credit card companies, or even for tracking the rate by the minute. One solution if you think you'll be spending a lot more at Thomann's is to get a euro account with a debit/credit card. Most banks offer them these days.
 8.
heres my rendition: a bit rough round the edges but there you go! Rhythm Stick peace c
Much better than the other versions posted so far -- well done!
 9.
Arrived today. Will get the cheque for postage in the post tomorrow morning since I missed the post today. (...or will have by the time I get home to my cheque book). Thanks. I have a bass pod pro xt, I don't like it. ..well, erm it's ok but I'm hoping the Lexicon is easier to use live than the totally unusable (maybe I'm thick) Bass pod. The bass pod seems to have so many differing sounds, almost none of which are to my liking. Maybe I won't like the Lexicon either. Fussy bugger.
Thanks Andy! And good luck with it. I suggest you make yourself a nice cup of cocoa and spend a few quality hours with the manual.
 10.
I'd quite like to do an effect where the delayed signal is subjected to a very severe noise gate to make the echoes choppy, then I could add effects like phaser or an over feedbacked, unstable sounding chorus
And then the world shall be MINE! MINE, I tell you! MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!
 11.
Is it me or is his timing a little out in places? Probably just me
It's not you. check 0:11 for example.
 12. You can start here: http://www.stevelawson.net/interact/viewtopic.php?t=533 http://www.stevelawson.net/interact/viewto...asc&start=0 I'm sure that CK will have more to say about it though.
 13.
Sounds VERY familiar to me.
Are we talking about the same gentleman? I have a proposal about this, will start a thread tomorrow to ask for input from others.
 14. Amazing how often exceptions like that take place at the Bass centre! Must be located in some sort of a statistical black hole.
 15.
can only offer £220 posted I'm afraid been eyeing up a Framus 2x12 on Thomann for £202, but I guess I'd rather have the orange!
Sorry, that'll have to be a no! but no harm in asking.
