1. Then there is Matt Schmill's wood page at http://www.fbbcustom.com/ > woods I don't rate his worksmanship, but he has good knowledge of woods (he is a friend of Ken Smith's).
2. Ken Smith's page is very useful too: http://www.kensmithbasses.com/woodpages/wo...gecontents.html
3.
If I remember correctly, someone was sending old strings to musicians in Madagascar. I can't seem to find a link now.
Here is the link. An email address is provided. Might be a nice brotherly gestures towards those who although less fortunate are trying to enjoy the pleasures of making music. 5. I do hope for your sake that you're an 'adult player'!!! Looks good for the price.
6.
Mrs Tinman asked the same question in Off Topic the other day - this was Phatmonkey's reply: "Check the cookie settings in your browser (normally under the privacy tab in the preferences). Make sure it is accepting all cookies from this site, or just let it accept all cookies from all sites." She believed him, too!
I wouldn't mind a cookie now, so I'd be inclined to accept it. Anyhow, I found that pressing Alt and F4 took care of my problem!
7.
I've never had a feedback thread. I really don't see the need.
It's not compulsory. But people other than you see the need. As william wallace did (not) say, FRRRREEEEDOMMMM!
8. I think these are all good ideas ck, good to know, I just wanted to know if I was broken! or 'special'...
9. I seem to have been stuck on 19 for a few days. Any ideas why this may be?
10. Well, naturally it depends on the quality of the bass to begin with. A 20 year old Galveston might not warrant extravagant spending. But since you seem to be thrilled with the potential acquisition, I guess it's a good'un. Furthermore, what you do with it depends on what you want to get out of it. A playable bass? A collector's item? In most cases, I believe I would go for option 2, but as I say it will very much depend on the bass and your needs.
11. I think it's a good idea, and the "one lick" suggestion got me all hot under the collar.
12. Tort? It does work well with some reds. Otherwise, a deep burgundy perhaps?
13. 'ello all, this looks really good! Thanks all for the efforts, you've really gone out of your way to keep this going. I hope all users realise that and work together to build a newer, better, faster, more sexually potent site. Glory glory hallelujah and all that.
