  1. Suhr Classic J Pro up in great condition with original Suhr flight case. If you're a jazz bass fan then this is pretty much as good as it gets. Jazz's have been my mainstay over the years and I've had some very nice ones including Celinder, Moollon, Sadowsky, USA Lakland, all the Fenders etc. These have a reputation for being the best and it's not hard to see why. They take elements that people love about vintage basses and combine them with modern improvements and impeccable build quality. It's a lovely thing and I'll be sorry to see it go. The spec: Alder body Quarter sawn Maple neck with a vintage tint and satin finish Indian Rosewood fingerboard with 7.25" radius Stainless steel frets Clay face and side dots Hipshot Ultralite USA tuners Gotoh vintage bridge Classic J vintage single coil pickups Bakelite control knobs Original hardcase complete with spec sheet Weight 4kg/8.8lb
  2. Not as much as they used to go for. Much like non-class D bass gear!
  3. I'm no oficionado on 80s hair metal but if you want a thunderous thick sound with some tube bite and compression, then this is the kiddy.
  4. Atelier Z short-scale Kenken signature model (that's the signature on the headstock). It was hand built in Japan, has a 30" scale, a lovely maple neck and is extremely light weight at 3kg/6.6lb. It has active EMG pickups/pots, Gotoh hardware, and has recently been setup with new D'Addario strings. It sounds awesome.
  5. Mesa M-Pulse 600 in the rather fetching Bronco head case, complete with the original foot switch. This amp is phenomenal, it can do clean, tube grind/distortion has an unparalleled EQ and one of the best sounding compressors you'll hear. It is extremely powerful and not for the faint of heart! Collection from Margate or meetup somewhere mutually convenient.
  6. Close-ups of the tasty maple neck and very dark rosewood board.
  7. Gallien Krueger 700RB-ii 1X12 Combo. This is a highly capable gigging combo that offers the ideal combination of light weight, compact size, masses of power and a great feature set. Collection from Margate or handover somewhere mutually convenient.
  8. Temporary price drop to £395 if you can collect, or we can arrange a meetup/handover.

  10. I'm open to offers on this, chaps. I'm also interested in cab trades..

This is an absolute beast of an amp and quite something to behold when used with a cab of similar capabilities. It's in great condition, works perfectly and sounds like thunder. If you've found your fancy Class D amp lacking, come and try this out! It comes with a non-Mesa footswitch for engaging the valve overdrive channel and for the Tuner/Mute function. Some bumf from Mesa; Answering your demands for a rig bad enough to anchor our Recto’s wall of gain, here is 750 watts of crushing fundamental. Pure and Mean. Simplicity rules this front panel. No high-tech overkill between you and fast, fat tone. Straight-ahead circuitry delivers instant attack with massive authority. Just the brutal, potent truth, served up with mighty attitude. Our exclusive Simul-State™ technology provides all-tube performance from Input jack right up to the dual MOSFET power blocks. A classic all-tube tone stack is augmented by an additional Active Mid with a sweepable Frequency control. This lets you zero in on the precise region of attack to let you drive the band where it needs to go. A footswitchable all-tube Overdrive, sporting its own dedicated Drive and Master controls, adds a menacing growl to your sound, sinking teeth into the mix. Twin fans cool the dual power blocks arrayed with no less than 12 custom matched MOS-FET output devices. Even these power units are directly driven by one of the 8 tube stages in the Big Block 750. This is Simul-State. Tight and focused, warm and musical. For convenience, Tuner outputs are provided front and rear. Rear panel features also include a series Effects Loop and a Slave Out with its own dedicated Level control. A balanced XLR Direct Out is switchable between Pre and Post and includes a separate Level control and Ground Lift. Quarter inch and Speak-On jacks deliver this massive horsepower to the cabinet(s) of your choice. The heritage of rock bass has been built on vacuum tube tone. The Big Block 750 elevates today’s bass performance while paying homage to that great tradition. Here is a menacing new amp that's infused with the percussion, warmth and feel of an all-tube classic while providing double or even triple the output power …and at a fraction of the weight. Big Block Torque Rules! 13. Thanks 👍 I forgot to add, I can sort out shipping if required.
  14. Temporary price drop to £395 if you can collect, or we can arrange a meetup/handover. Here we have a lovely old Kramer Jazz style bass made by ESP in Japan in the 80's. It's essentially a jazz bass with a slightly wider (but shallow) neck, and a slightly downsized P style body. It has a worn-in satin neck finish which feels lovely to play. It has great balance despite the vintage style tuners and has a wonderfully pokey Jazz tone. The build quality is very good as you'd expect from ESP, and it feels solid despite weighing just 3.75kg/8.2lb. The blocks on the dark rosewood board are actually stickers. I intended to remove them when I got the bass but I think they work really well. They will come off easily if desired. The bass comes with an ESP flightcase, Schaller straplocks and a nice ESP strap.
  15. Looks lovely, how does it compare to the Moollon?
  16. This is a very useful preamp/practice amp/DI box/compressor/audio interface/grit/distortion pedal and more. It's in great condition and comes with the original boxes, manual, little rubber feet (it has velcro on the bottom) and the all important original power supply (you'll need a 2 pin plug adapter for this). I've really enjoyed using it but am trying to simplify my rig. Here's the lowdown from GK: The Plex preamp combines 47 years of amp design experience with state of the art technology to deliver the flexibility today's musicians require. The heart of every GK product is the active 4 band “variable Q” equalizer and contour circuit that set the standard for bass tone shaping over 30 years ago. Building on this proven foundation, the PLEX features expanded filter options that allow you to further dial in your instruments unique voice. Foot switchable Compressor and Overdrive ensure your performance blends seamlessly into the band or cuts through a crowded mix and the Chromatic Tuner makes sure it’s all in tune. The ¼” output drives the front of your instrument amp or power amplifier while the DI output sends it all to the PA or recording console. Aux IN and Phones Out make the PLEX ideal for jamming along silently with your favorite tunes and the USB input/output allows pristine digital recording and re-amping capability when used with your favorite recording software. Expanded Voicing Options: Every knob of the PLEX features push activated functions that allow the user to tailor every nuance of their sound beyond the range of traditional tone controls. As each knob is pressed, the indicator is lit blue to signify that an option is engaged and the readout displays the current option level that is active. Need more low end thump? Push the bass/ bump knob to engage multiple levels of bass enhancement. Scooping out some mids for the ultimate slap tone is as easy pressing the low-mid/contour knob until you find just the right notch. Get rid of excessive pick noise and click by pressing the hi-mid/ hi-cut knob. Add just the right amount of “air” to a dark instrument or speaker via the presence function accessed by pressing the treble/presence knob. No amp? No worries: Obviously, the pedal board friendly format, distortion, compressor and chromatic tuner with large LED display make PLEX an “all in one” extension of your existing live amp rig. But let’s face it, not every session or live performance has the need or capacity to allow for your favorite GK rig running at gig volume. The convenience of tracking direct and the use of in-ear monitors on stage has many players leaving their amps at home. With its world class preamp and virtually unlimited tone shaping, wide range of analog and digital input/output options, PLEX allows you to have your GK sound even when an amp is not in the cards.
  17. Haha, the Guitarist thought I'd come in Vulfpeck fancy dress too. My chops obviously didn't get the memo though unfortunately!
  18. I had my first gig in 15 months at the weekend and decided to use my short scale Atelier Z. It was a blast!
  19. This was on hold twice but now available again! £1600 collected/handover somewhere, or I can package it up if you'd like to arrange your own courier. Trade value is the original asking price.
